xcelarator normal dose 131kph, this was them testing how quick it could go. so derr!! i know its faster than superman anyhow, i was just saying its alot faster in the vid to its normal speed.

hi ppl, american coasters has just posted up a vid of xcelarator being launched at 100mph+ this thing is flying over the top hat, however at its normal launch i think it goes over much quicker than superman..the second launch is the quickest...........http://www.americacoasters.com/videos/xcel1.mov

having a disney fats pass system at DW is not needed, however they could do what magic mountain dose. There fastlane pass is $15 and it gives you 4 tickets to enter the ride via the fast lane entry ( ride exit for most of the rides.) They also have an add on option for there annual pass, were as you get a Fastlane 4 ticket voucher every time you come to the park without payint the $15. I like that idea for annual pass holders. But at the end of the day, the line for TOT and cyclone are crazy at the best of times, do u really wanna wait for the ppl coming through the exit. I love fast pass at disneyland, and i know Lots off ppl hate fast pass at disney on alot of the disney forums. But DW dont have that many ppl go and enough major rides to spread ppl out while waiting for there time slot.

Went to movieworld today and rode superman escape, only waited under 10mins twice, very quick to board. I did enjoy the ride, the city part at the start is quite good. I do however feel it need to go over the top hat a little quicker. It could be just me, but when I rode xcellarator at knotts, when going over the top hat it felt like it was throwing you out of the train hardcore, so much so that the seat belt dug into my waist. I like the last camel hump, thats were u realy come out of your seat:) I rode in car 3 and car 4. all in all it was a good hr, went on superman, lethal and back on superman, then went to dreamworld to watch the XD show, its quite crap. both parks were packed.

*sorry about the spelling, I was in a rush to go to work. Like I said I only made the post for a bit of fun, I did think it would be funy if DW did it....I know it would not happen for real. Ill be re-newing my MW pass on wednesday, to go ride superman:) I havent been since October.

I did say, at the begining of my rant, it would not happen.. i have also said that many times that they would not get a coasster like that, because it is basically just like tot. theres no point for DW doing it. However your point about DW not gettin another large height coater?, wat do u suggest they could pull out to cmpete with superman, that would really impress ppl. Theres no reason, dw cant get a mega or hyper coaster to compete with MW. At least it would have the visual wow factor. They dont have a good coaster, and for a thrill park they need one. If dw dose put in another **** coaster there just stupid. Cyclone is absolute ****!!! I really want them to start competeing hard. obviously we arnt america, and we cant be lucky enough for one of our parks to add 3 coasters in a year (good old magic mountain:P) And the "its a clone of what we do" well that comment from wvtp was just stupid and we know that. wnw was just lucky to be the only waterpark for so long, there r hundreds of waterparks in the states.

But how funny would it be if DW decided to build a clone of kingda ka... little old superman would be a laughing stock...and dreamworld would be the ones laughing. I could just imagine what the ppl at movieworld would say if that happend, not to mention the money they would have wasted to have a ride built 2 mins away that makes it look like a toy coaster:P just a thought i had:P If i were DW, i would now focus on more thrills, we have enough kids stuff..if MW wants to fight. DW should fight back with a vengence:)lol DW is the thrill park!!!!! lets get um

zamperla, that pic would of been taken during one of the extremeworld promos they had running during the xmas holidays...... as i can remeber they did the motorbike jump through the loop of the thunderbolt for two years running, then the next extreme world they had, the motocross jumps were done in front of the TOT launch track---model cars were closed.

joz, they also had chaos, thats was the 5 th ride:) also with xtreme world, will we have extreme wipeout and tot and drop like previuos years.....the website dosae not mention it. I for one look forward to seeing the wipeout come of off its normal cycle and run a different one:P...ive seen 3 different programs from memory in previous years.

one of the maintance workers also got electricuted to death, not long after callypso beach opend, he was working on a power box, i have a video with the news story still i think. I also remember about 5 years ago someone fell from the chairlift at DW, i can remeber seeng that on the nes and the kept showing the ground were the person hit the ground in koala country.

how is taking out mamoth plunge, and adding a mirro of the mamoth river an increase in capacity??? there is still only 2 slides again on the tower.

Dose any one have or know were to find older dreamworld comercials, or sound files. I have come across, dreams come true "short comercial" and the t.v comercial for tower of terror, opening soon. Ihave these. But i want older ones. just for fun, wish i could go somewhere special..i used to have the muxic for that but cant find it. I also want: the long version of dreams cometrue.......so many times when i watched ice fever i was going to stay behind and take the cd that has the full theme song from start to finish ,,,lol. Anyhow and thoughts,ideas.etc?

i can see it hurting wenwild, when it first opens,summer 06. Because if i had the choice I would want to go to the new park to check it out..being totaly brand spanking new. Especialy if the attractions they get r of top quality. And im sure interstate travelers, will also decide to check out the new water park, as apposed to the one theve been to time after time. The only thing wetnwild will have going for it next year is the fact ppl will still buy the 3 park superpass.

SO, r they moving the bottom car park towards the highway and using the carpark area for the water park, seeing as its all pretty much leveld out as of today....as i noticed markings on the carpark floor today. Or is the waterpark getting built on the grass areabetween the car park and higway? or will they use the whole bottom carpark and grass area. the space just dosent seem big enough, unles they use the bottom carpark and grass towards the higway. they have cleard all the way towards the side street were the thunbolt used to boarder onto. they have also clered and started leveling the area alnog dreamworlds ampithearte as u come into dreammworld, i seen this last week. Also the ticket booth on the left has now been torn down, leaving the one remaing ticket booth at the top of the stairs. that being said, guest services is all gutted insidetoo. What ever happens, I do NOT! want the front entrance of dreamworld to come down, but why have the demolished 1 of the 2 ticket booths.

sk2, if the pod is out of the station, and fails to go up the tower..for whatever reason, it is pulled back by the winch. It dose not come back by the operators/maintanance bringin it back by the electro magnets.

the sound from the tot is very easily heard, even on t.v... ive even heard the steam trains whistle on t.v.

r tower is 38 stories. now they say 40 with the top on.

richard, I was going to suggest the city pass, but I read on mice chat a few weeks back, that knotts berry farm will be dropped from city pass next year and be replaced with universal studios.

Adam, you can purchase disney hopper tickets, from the disney web site. They usual have specials were, adults pay kids prices, or up to 35% off hopper passes. Just check what they have online. There are quite a few tour places in anaheim, some of them offer buy one tour get 2nd 50%. All anaheim tours, offers discounts if you book two together. I paid for magic mountain and universal on the one booking and saved $30. Apart from the disney hoppers, your best of getting the other tickets and or tours when ur in anaheim. Knotts berry farm often have bring a coke/pepsi can promo for discounted admission. hope this helps...by the wy, when r u going, and were u stayin.

The Water from the wave, was turned of as i recall, because the wind would blow off spray onto the ride and stairs causing alot of rust. The wave has been turned off for years, we didnt have water restrictions back when it departed. And when the wave was turned off, they also stopped the waters jets, hich it did originally open with 4. the jets we have now are from when they did extreme world back in the day:) I miss extreme world, it was the only time u got to ride wipeouts differnt cycles. Extreme world ran for two september holidays in a row, ad both years had a differnt cycle. After miday!

I agree too, dreamworld now has enough for families, i think having wiggles world and nick are a bit much, but now there is heaps of things for the young ones. What worres me is that if movie world coughed up some more $$$$ and put in some flats, e.g on the lines of the claw, giant flats..they would indeed be australias best themepark. every ride movieworld has is an awsome ride, and well themed. they will have two great coastres, superman being a world class coaster. Dreamworld, really need to do something...and make movieworlds superman look like a carni ride. lets go something 200-300ft (world record holderd wouldnt be a bad idea either) weve done it twice!
