does anyone remember some old parks in Sydney. I remember one called Paradise Gardens which has large concrete dinosaurs but that is all I remember. Where was this palce and i think it was near another park called Australiana Village- had a like a mini oz village atmosphere with wax dummies in the stores etc- i remember the barber shop cause it had a wax dummy that had been cut by the barbers razor and there was fake blood on it- scared the crap out of me when i was young. Also there was a park south of Wollongong called something World-not bullens. It had a mini harbour bridge and animals- snake pit, camel rides etc- what was the name of this park? What abut bullens ANimal work and The Afican Lion Safari and El Cabello Blanco. It would be great if anyone remembers and even have some family pics, memorbilla etc on any of the parks.

thanks for these pics Jobe, they are great and you are right, rare too. Shame the park today doesn't have the same feel as it did back in the 70's When are they going to inject some much needed funds and atmosphere into the park?

I also have some pics of LPS in the 80's. some taken from up on the ferris wheel looking down midway and othrs of fav rides at the time ie pitate ship, supa loop. Unfortuately these are not scanned yet but I would really like to share them with you guys- so i will let you all know wen they are done. when are we all getting together for a chat about this great place? let arrange it sometime soon.

does anyone rememeber a family park south of wollongong called 'somethin' Animal world- not bullens. It was a family picnic park that had a small model of the harbour bridge and chair rides, slippery dips etc. We can't remember the name of the park Also, does anyone have any pics, maps etc of Magic Kingdom in NSW. I know the park is still there- overgrown and in pieces- but just one of those childhood places that my friends and I would like to rememeber. Also, if anyone is interested i have a roll of film from Luna Park in Sydney from the mid 80's. Heaps of pics of the park and its ride, which I have not seem to have seen else where. I want to scan them so they can be shared. What is happening out at Wonderland theses day's? has anyone broke into the place and taken pics of its current condition? if not, lets do it !!! D

i went and saw this model on the weekend and it is fantastic. attention detail etc id amazing. well done LPM. we tried to get pics but camera died. Lets organise a trip to Luna soon and we can all compare notes etc.
