  1. I am not 100% sure but what you are describing sounds like what lies out near to Warragamba dam at Wallacia, There is a small industrial area just before you get to the dam and if you make a left turn there not far down that road you will come across what I am writing about.
  2. What was wrong? Things didn't feel quite right the next morning? Too late to press charges now
  3. I would have to agree 100% with Flasher, that was without doubt the best employee function Wonderland held, although yes the maintenance performance was recognised as the winner, after the performances and particularily the pathetic one by the parks entertainment division, Mr Croaker and management stated "there is no winner, this was not a competition it was just entertainment" Regardless, it was a fantastic night, always spoken about and never repeated.
  4. I remember once sometime in 2002 early in the morning we drove up HB hill and lying in front of Zodiac was the lower half of a wallaby that had been in an altercation with something more powerful, probably a fox but the neatness of the wounds makes me wonder, it was almost surgically cut in half.
  5. G'day Daz, Two chances my friend on both those fronts. Firstly, no way would there be any A/V equipment left and if so it would be trash. It was stripped out in early stages of the parks closure and sold, taken or whatever. Secondly, the real state of the park is that of an enlarged rats nest with things strewn from one end to the other. Also, whats that sqeaking I hear? no not rats but the tracks of the dozers which are very close to their target so getting in there is no longer an option.
  6. You are such a book of knowledge Koolkidsyd
  7. Does anybody else think that the Big Top looks overpowering and out of place in the photo? Is it really worth having it there?
  8. Unfortunately it does, I have been told releasing any information other than the fact they are coming down in August is not allowed. Believe me, when that information is allowed to be released I will do it immediately via this site.
  9. I have been asked to work on their dissassembly. At this time the new home(s) of these rides do not want the information disclosed and by doing so I would probably not be working on them
  10. Breaking News: these two rides will be coming down in August, and I will be able to get some good footage of this as I will be on site.
  11. Just a quick lesson in mathematics: 1989 - 2005 eqauls 16 years, vastly different to over 20 years.
  12. Zode is tipped to go o/s if they can get it out in time, I am not sure if the deadline has passed but if it has it will be scrapped
  13. Also regarding SRR, The boats will not be sold for three reasons, Firstly, Sunway have no control or valid access to that area of the park, Secondly, anyone who would want to purchase those half flat, worn to the canvas loads of junk would require professional help, and Thirdly if you witnessed the demolition of the station and control room you would know that most of the boats sustained damage as the station came down with some suffering a crunching end as the dozers ran right over them thus rendering them useless anyway. I hope this clarifies things a little.
  14. Yes Zamperla you are correct, Taz Devil was loaded onto a truck (not inside a container) and taken to Melbourne. Dragons Flight is not being made transportable and was re-erected at Sunway in September of 2004 but I was told not operating properly from the get-go. As for HMS Endeavour it lies at rest at the Out the Back stables area, I also believe it was a Jap made ride.
  15. Its funny you say that as you're not the first person to mistake me for Mike Oswald. He is the director of operations at visionland, I was not there at the time.
  16. How funny is this: The guy in the foreground with the blue shirt was enjoying a cigarette whilst doing not much else when this photo was taken but they edited it out before posting it. Check the finger action.
  17. Yes it had a switch on the operators panel to lock/unlock the lapbars.
  18. You are both right. There was a dinosaur exhibition in both locations on seperate occasions.
  19. Believe me, it is not through lack of trying, I have tried compressing them and putting them on and (after 45 mins of waiting) it still says they are too large. I am going back there next week and will try on Visionland's computers to get them on or I will get more photos. If that fails I can burn them to disk then send them to one of you people and they can put them on. Sorry....
  20. Like I said before, Balloons and Planes (maybe Galleons) went to the same place in Victoria. The contractor who was supposed to re-install them told me last year that they would be up and running by now. But then he also had to re-install Bounty's in KL so he is probably still busy.
  21. Not sure, Rainbow's End was mentioned early as a possible purchaser for some of the bigger rides like Demon, Probe and Bounty's but they all fell through. It is possible some of the kiddie rides were sent there but what could they do to a ride that couldnt be done here?
  22. I do recall that Balloons and Planes were to be sent to a small operator in Victoria, and if you say it was all yellow well it narrows it down a bit further. What would be conclusive would be if you could get a close up shot of those dome peices which were the tops of the balloons and see if they still had the good old rope in them where the lights used to be. I do think what you have seen is Balloons from Wonderland. Also I am not sure but Galleons may have went ti the same place???
  23. Nothing, I would have stole it if I wanted it!
  24. Well Bulletproof, since you put it that way its hard not to agree.
