  1. the area around the BB house is going to be the motel and shopping area right?
  2. For those of you that are living within the SEQ area,it has been reported in todays local paper,The Queensland Times. (www.qt.com.au) that the extreme thrill ride SPEED will be making its first Queensland appearance at the Ipswich show.Dates are as follows, 11,12,13th of May. Not sure what other rides are on the eastern run or will be at Ipswich Come have a look.
  3. Guys when I said a follish idea what I was trying to say was it will do three things that will work against both parks. Fristly for Dreamworld it won't help bring Cyclone into the park but infact work in reverse. As it is agreed Cyclone is so out of the park it isn't funny, but by building the waterpark around it they might as well include it in the waterpark. Secondly the Water park will be spread out over a large area and if the flowrider is to be included in the water park that is a lot of land to build in.But lets hope that they do build in the whole park area. Thirdly we all know that Dreamworld is running out of land so by using the old TB area for the waterpark they are reducing the area that they have for more big rides, and that can't be good. Anyway just my 5 cents worth.
  4. While I was there the other day I was talking to the nice old lady behind the counter of the old cyclone exit building in front of the TB station. She tells me that the water park will wrap around the cyclone and into the land that was the TB. So it seems that the flowrider will be apart of Dreamworld for now but will be closed off after they open the waterpark and become apart of it. Also this frees up a bit of land for the park. Still foolish idea to wrap it around the cyclone.
  5. They have done two films last year for the wrestling group WWEs films arm. The first was the Marine starring one of the wrestlers John Cena and the other film was See No Evil with another superstar, Kane, in the lead roll. And as we speak they are filming the first of 3 films staring Stone Cold Steve Austin called The Condemed. So they are slowly getting movies there but with the US dollar being better OS from Aus they are going to find it harder to get movies here. Hey just my 2 cents
  6. Ok I am going to start this post by telling you I am a 36 year old coaster rider. I have just looked at the diving coaster from B+M and all I can say is,That is FREAKEN COOL. god I cant believe I just used that word in a post. Anyway back on topic,I have a 7 year old and to tell you the truth he is the one that is sick of Dreamworld more then I am,and I have had a max action pass for the last 6 years. Why does he hate it so much? because there is nothing really for him to do. He is to short to go on the major rides and just to old to enjoy the yonger rides. DW have to get something to fill in this gap in their ride arsenal, sure he can ride the RR in nick central, but god you can only do that so many times before you get bored with it. I am lucky,he will be tall enogh when we go next to ride the big stuff but there are a lot of other families out there with this problem.
  7. Have just recieved this email from Dreamworld, and it seems they want some help in nameing the waterpark. Hi, As a Dreamworld Max Action Pass Holder we value your opinion. Dreamworld is currently conducting research on potential names for a waterpark, located adjacent to Dreamworld. If you have the time to complete the survey by clicking on the URL link below, we would love to hear your feedback. The survey should take approx. 5 minutes. http://www.global-opinion.net/questionnaire/dreamworld50 Thanks for your support. See you at Dreamworld soon. 10. I do remember this comp. yes it was a Triple m comp run by the three MMM stations being Brisbane Melbourne and Sydney, and their sister stations in Adalaide and Perth I think. cant remember what you had to do to get in but there was 4 people from each city. It kinda went pear shaped on triple m when the riders weren't dropping as fast as they thought they would so they had to come up with other ideas to get them off.things included eatting horrid stuff(I remember one thing was lamb brains, got rid of a few) the rules from the start were they would ride for 50mins of each hour and had a 10 mins toliet/rest break.they had to be back on the train before the 10 mins were up or were out. They all sat in the front of the trains and had to sit in the same sits each time. They got 30 mins for meals and again had to be back on before the 30 mins was up.they weren't allowed any food on the trains(this is what got rid of one brisbane guy, they found a choc bar in his pocket) After 40 days it was decided that the last two guys would not get back in the train in time and as such would both win. I do think that they had someone in their ears over this as over the 40 days pls lost interest in the comp and each said that they could have gone on but didnt want too. Andrew Denton was the main man behind the comp but being from Sydney thats a gimme. Up here in Brisbane it was front page news when it started and when the guy got caught thats all.no interest no good going on with it. I so wanted to enter but was working fulltime then and didn't think that I could get time off for it not knowing howe long it was going to go on for
