  1. ^Because we woudn't want VRTP making any money would we?
  2. Maybe instead they could rent (with deposit) those ECVs you see at Disneyland to the people actually too lazy to walk through the gate from ocean parade to WWW...it would be cheaper Hey, why are we talking about monorails anyway? I think the park railway does the job at getting people from the back of the park to the front, and getting to WWW is ridiculously simple with the cross park gate. But hey, if they want to waste millions that is their call.
  3. Its a bit off topic, but no I don't. I just really thought that was the worst game of footy ever. An occasional visit to the Geelong website is the extent of my footy related web browsing. Back to DW...
  4. Thanks for that. I'm guessing that the 3rd pic is basically showing the launch footings on the right and the footings for the brakes in the distance on the left. It seems like Rita at the start as you just launch straight into a turn. Irrespective of what other people have said I think this will be a fun ride in a nice setting.
  5. What usually happens in the next year at MW when they put in a show instead of a ride in the year prior? Think about that one....
  6. 2d? That would certainly be a bit errr, flat to watch. How would they do a 2d show anyway? Make everyone cover one eye? Have the characters as cardboard cut outs? Build the show stage in an alternate 2d universe accessible via a wormhole?
  7. I thought that was what they indicated in the WVTP survey though.
  8. I think the reason the forums are so quiet is because its no longer peak season and we are still only at the early stages of construction. We have also been spoilt a bit with a water park to watch the progress of last year, making this year pale in comparison. It should be more interesting when the two coasters and the southern star start going vertical.
  9. How would have they done that? Zero Gravity rooms aren't possible.
  10. I was thinking something similar, it indicates poor design.
  11. Where has all this confusion come from? Read the topic.... -GIANT_DROP_RULZ_119m said "when does Cyclone get demolished JKZ?", he was making a joke about the ride getting demolished, I'm guessing he is not much of a fan. -Original got confused and didn't realize GIANT_DROP_RULZ_119m was joking. -ash.1111 commented on the joke GIANT_DROP_RULZ_119m made, saying it was "wishful thinking" -I pointed out to Original that GIANT_DROP_RULZ_119m was joking. -ash.111 essentially noted I had made a good observation. They would have paid it off, it was only $5.5 mil and it has been running for more than 5 years, the income from the millions of visitors in this period would have covered this nicely. Remember, Thunderbolt and Cyclone ran together for a period until 2003, essentially Cyclone came to DW because it was a good deal, cheap, barely used and already in the country. I doubt it will be moved across the park either, a very expensive exercise, again this aint' RCT were talking about here.
  12. Besides, he said JKZ (jokes) so he was fooling around.
  13. There is a guy on here named "Undeclared" who would value them, he has been after them for a while, see http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/in...p?showuser=1670
  14. ^ According to the watermark, from www.whereis.com.au
  15. Why??? Unless you have experienced it for yourself don't write uninformed comments. Having only experienced the pools on the GC I would rate WWWs ahead of WnWs, the tubes in the WWW one are free, the pool looks more attractive, is arguably safer (underwater cameras), plus it can crank up waves big enough to boogie board on, the fountains are a nice touch too. It is also worth pointing out both the Jamberoo and the WWW pools were done by the same company.
  16. Yeah, it would be better without it. I'm guessing its some sort vision for something MW could do, but I think we should have a plain MW to start off with, and then if individuals want to modify the park to how they would like to see it then that option is available.
  17. Perhaps it would be a good time to look at an aerial photo to see what space is available? Even a narrow site is good for an out and back type layout.
  18. LOL, exactly what I was thinking. Its fair enough to say that you might have found something a bit overrated, disappointing etc, but it sort of bugs me when people say they find rides "boring". I mean its not exactly like we are talking about a kids aeroplane ride or something. I think the worst example of this is those people who say rides like Sliver Bullet are "boring", sure it might not be that forceful, but your on a roller coaster for goodness sake, how could you possibly get bored during the ride?It also doesn't bode to well with me when people have just canned something completely and say it "sucks", give some bloody reasons for your opinions! I guess its just a mark of the "can't sit still for 5 minutes" generation. Then how on earth did they build Balder at Liseberg? A wooden coaster seems like the accepted ride for that end of the park, so if noise walls/tunnels and polyurethane running wheels were employed then a coaster is entirely feasible.
  19. Wouldn't that mean your original idea would be boring too?
  20. Pfft, when its for a ride I just call it a "Show Building".
  21. I have said this a few times in the past, but in reality very few rides have their layouts changed. I think Steel Phantom and V2 are the only two coasters I can think of that have had appreciable changes to their layouts. This isn't RCT we're talking about here!
  22. LOL if drought were the reason then the whole of Pipeline Plunge would need to be turned off. The water effects on TRR would logically use recirculated water. I for one have thought TRR should have more water effects. This could include rusty old gold mining equipment leaking/spraying water everywhere. There could be an untidy stack of mining explosives that "explode" with water when a raft passes by. Perhaps they could build a water tower like the one on WWF (except it doesn't turn off before you get near).A baddies hideout (I think one is named "Billy Big Ears" going by the wanted poster/jail photo op near the ride entrance) could be built at a strategic point, and inside there could be water guns. On the other side of the channel there could be junk that has been used for 'target practice'.
  23. It seems like you had a preconceived notion that the place "sucked".
  24. WWF and LW are looking OK, but SE is very inaccurate.
