  1. oops me did a boo boo. sorry guys it was 2GB not 2UE. Put it this way, Ray Hadley would of stuck it right up them! Hey dan! That fax would of been interesting wouldnt it, shame it got to the receptionist first before stephen galbraith ha ha ha ha
  2. I must admit it would be good to see wonderland sydney open, but definately with different management. ING cant be blamed for buying wonderlands land, its not their fault. If you want support I honestly think you are not going to get it. But if you want to voice your opinions or grievances Im telling you guys write to the papers ring up 2UE and speak to Ray Hadley. Its too late now, but if your going to do it it needs everyones support not just a few people. Ive got a few contacts as well in the newspaper side of things. As for Mr Galbraith (Stephen), he is just a goof who wouldnt know how to manage a theme park if his life depended on it. All he was good for was treating his staff (cast members) like a piece of crap. I dont think he knows how to smile. But i could just imagine the smile on his face when he recieved the fax from Miss Z a few years back ha ha ha ha ha .
  3. Maybe the facts are: * ING bought wonderland * The rides all have to be dismantled by the end of the year * And THE DEMON is going to DREAMWORLD even though both parties have not admitted to it. * Wonderland Sydney is no more If anyone wants to voice there opinion, Why dont you guys ring up Ray Hadley and I'll guarantee management will be listening.
  4. My god I hope you dont call the Marvel Street thingymejiggy, Outback woolcrap or Blinky bill shows cause theyre utterly crap. I suppose cause wonderland is opening at 10am Anzac Day at least they could offer Half Price tickets or something similiar for their last day of trading, but that would be too much to ask. Most probaly the only way that stevie boy or Zoe will take any notice if everyone bombards the telephone line and let it be known, but fat chance of that!
  5. For the past few years, Wonderland have always opened on Anzac Day at 10.00am. There will be few disappointed people then.
  6. Can you come a weed my garden too, Rich! BTW Do you really look like that person? Going back to the sling shot, It took us days to get dear old daniel son on the ride, and as you know he went on it and loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Vomitron is next dear Daniel! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Oh yeah nearly forgot! For those who dont know what the VOMITRON is watch the NRL footy show on thursday night.
  7. Gee, lighten up willsy! Dont be so serious have some fun will you You should know daniel by now, he's been on here long enough! Anyway getting back to the topic. Movieworld was bloody fantastic! The operators were friendly, the atmosphere was totaly awesome. Dreamworld was OK! although the food was bloody awful, it was raining, they started up tot at 4.30pm, and the chick with the long blonde hair at wipeout was so rude! And going a bit of track was the SLING SHOT! Now that was bloody magic. Dont you agree Daniel! The Vomitron is next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Snow world is a waste of money! P.S ASHLEE: you can write whatever you want! P.S.S: and remember willsy lighten up will you Keep the coming dan at least you bring some excitement to these threads
  8. Ouch!!!!!! that would of hurt! Last time i checked i was a male so obviously you dont know me former! Again everyone has there own opinion.
  9. This is going to be the last time I type in this thread. Yes, I am an ex employee who was there for over 3 years. I did start of in the retail department and then moved to the attractions department, which to this day was a decision i didnt regret. I enjoyed my time in this department along with working with a great bunch of people. But the thing that annoys me the most is there were the bad things about this place that no one realises, because it was behind the scenes. eg: lack of staff treatment etc. I had a incident while i was operating the dodgems. Guests were coming up to me complaining about a certain group of people pushing in the queue. I told these people to go back to end of the queue, and boy did i cop an earfull of abuse. I rang certain channels eg: security who never showed up. This abuse kept on going and eventually me being physically abused by a punch in the face by these guests. I was told to have a few days of work the next day just in case they came back. Was I paid for those days off? No! Did Wonderland management apologise for not looking after there employee in the first place? No! Could I have taken this further? Yes! But i didnt (stupid me). Another incident was when I was operating the demon not so long ago. I refused a small child on the ride because he was under the height (by about 3cm or so). This certain supervisor came up to the ride measured this kid and to my astonishment and also to the unloader let this kid on. I gave the keys to this supervisor so he could operate the ride. Well was that a big mistake! I apparently undermined this supervisor authority. It is amazing how peole can get away with things like this when they were chummy with the operations manager. This supervisor go away with everything! just to mention a few. I could tell you more! Am i taking this further? YES! Human Resources a good little department! I dont think so! They really wouldnt know how to hire people and organise themselves if there life depended on it. I worked my butt of in that place and absolutely got nothing in return. Well thats going to change. One last thing, I did enjoy working there up until a few months before i left. I will always say this: 50% blame on sunway, 50% on wonderland management but how on earth can you blame the government! NO WAY!
  10. Fairdinkum, Why blame Bob Carr for the improperly run of Wonderland! Dont blame the government, blame the management instead. It is a shame that people dont realise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. willsy, willsy, willsy! Fairdinkum, Sunway is partly to blame cause they never put any money into the place. They did not save it 8 years ago, they just made the place worse. And once again, Management at wonderland is also partly to blame as well, and i'll always stick to it.
  12. Hooray! Finallly someone who makes sense. Good on ya GoBoi! I respect you for that. Luna Park opens on the 4th April, so i wonder what will happen then hey.
  13. Far out Dan, theyd have to be pretty desperate wouldnt they! But then again, THEY ARE ha ha ha ha
  14. Fairdinkum! What kind of legal stuff and contracts are u talking about millsy! oops i mean willsy! Like you, I also have contacts in the media, and believe you me nothing has been said about legal stuff. If people go to the industrial relations, they'll be able to hear all the stuff that is true going on at Wonderland. Like Dan the Man said, you have at least 5 operators who will be going to Luna Park and they are grade 4 operators, so who will be operating the demon, probe etc then? The park cleaners? or even maybe Kevin? Mushroom Farmer? They are that desperate at the moment for staff, dont be suprised if the park did close early. After all, the way they are treating some staff at the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Dont forget the $85mil they got from the other land sale!!
  16. I actually worked there but now I dont!!!!!!!!! Yeehah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Gee Daniel, how did u guess? Just hope that if the certain supervisor does go for the job at luna park, lets hope the management there soon realise what he is really like! Remember! Safety always comes first! Hope Luna Park Reconsiders and do their homework correctly.
  18. Well, I certainly wouldnt even think of working at Luna Park if a certain supervisor applied for a job there!
  19. To let everyone know, the Employees of Wonderland Sydney need your support. WHERE: Australian Industrial Relations Commission 80 William St, Sydney WHEN: March 3rd, 2004 TIME: 4.15pm Voice your opinion, and let Management, Sunway and so on know that the employees deserve their full entitlements and the respect they should be getting for making the park operational in the past 18 years. If this shouldnt be posted, I am sorry. It wont happen again and I'll know for next time. So come on guys, we need your SUPPORT!
  20. OK OK OK OK! You cannot blame ING for buying the land and turning it into industrial reasons. Yes you can part blame sunway for not putting any money into the themepark. Yes you can blame wonderland management for not telling their employees the real reason why they are closing the park. They would of known this a while ago, and kept denying the rumours at the time. At least they could of owned up to the fact instead of leaving 600+ workers in the dark like they always do!
  21. Its amazing how the birdflu, sars, sept 11, bushfires, ansett collapsing, bali bombings and so on have not affected the other theme parks in oz. Let alone it has affected wonderland in a big way and they dont have no money. Does that mean the managers have to hand back there flashy little sports cars. HMMM! At least wonderland management could tell the public the real reason why its closing and to put all the stop to all the bull***t. They would of known this at least 4 weeks ago. And to anyone scratching there heads, yes I am pissed off!
  22. I agree with psycho 110% It is a very sad day and reality has just sunk in!
  23. Hey DJ! Maybe the reason why you didnt recieve an email is because they knew back then that they were closing the park , but didnt bother telling anyone!
  24. Well you cant entirely blame sunway! At least some of the blame must go to the so called park management. If they did listen to their guests and employees things might have changed. The CEO was hardly ever at wonderland How do you know they didnt have any money? How do you know if they will help the employees find work? All management cared for was themselves and driving around in flashy cars!!!!!! Maybe the blame should be directed at the CEO! Defending him? No way in the world!
