Walk through the entrance to Transylvania and look to the right and there is a 3-4 meter high billboard with Spiderman climbing down a skyscraper. When i was a ride operator i never had any incidents with loose articles cause i would not allow anyone to ride with them. Daniel has it spot on, what happens if you loose consciousness for some reason, and dont say you wouldn't cause you dont know. I dont know what park told you to take your bag on the ride with you but that is an absolute joke! Does anyone know the attendance figure for Wonderland on the Saturday before the CFMEU day? I was packed! As for Wet n' Wild having 7000, thats less then half the figure Wonderland got on Monday. Wonderland got the highest attendance of any park in Australia this year and will do every union day. Try getting numbers like that to fit into the Gold Coast parks, I think not! Daniel, Zodiac has been re-painted a couple of times over the last few years, remeber when it was red, white and blue? They did a full re-paint in those colours a few years ago, then about a year/year 1/2 ago it was re-painted purple and yellow (which looks really good). I imagine that this annual maintenance is not for a major re-paint but a mojor overhaul of the machanics of the ride. Yes they will do a minor patch up job on the paint work but the majority of the overhaul will not be seen by anyone but the maintenance department. "The Bus is now leaving for Laos"

kennykoala do you know how many accidents happen at the American theme parks every year? You will not be able to find exact statistics. I know that they get loads more guests every year going through their parks. I have seen the articles about people getting injured on rides from various loose article, not just cameras or phones but things like prosthetic (artifical) limbs. Next time your at Wonderland ask the operator at Demon or Probe if prosthetic limbs are allowed on the ride. I dont care if a park says it is ok to take loose articles on the ride, it is dangerous to everyone (yourself, fellow riders, people in the queue line, people watching and the staff). When camera crews come the Wonderland to film on the rides ie Demon/Probe the camera that is taken on the ride is gaffer taped to the persons hand and the harness. Now tell me if there is no danger to people on or off the ride why do they do this? As for NW/DW/SW and WS having on ride film this is done by professionals with the camera properly mounted to the ride. If you think it is safe to take any sort of camera or object on the ride without some risk to yourself, other riders or observers then you are sadly mistaken. The parade will be with all the Marvel characters and will probably follow the same route that the old HB charatacter parade took, through Botany Bay and Transylvania and miss out on Gold Rush. I have heard that the parade will finish at the Action Arena with a small show. The FMX show will not be in the Action Arena but the hardly ever used Sundown theatre. What a load of crap!! There is no way that park attendances on a Saturday would be this low not matter what the weather. Daniel as for making the decision after 5pm you should know better than that to think that management would make that decision so late, one they would have to pay all of the staff for when they weren't working, two guests would blow up and they would have to get return passes. It was a good decision by Wonderland to make the call so early in the day so that everyone would be able to make other plans for the night (guests and staff). The only work that was done on Bush Beast during its days off was a small bit of re-tracking at the bottom of the first dip. As for the red train it is still in existance its just not on the track at the ride, it is being completly refurbish (stripped right down and re-built). This is taking longer then the yellow train for several reason, one being that the red train was used about 10 times as much as the yellow one and therefore needs more work done on it. On thing about Tony's contract with Wonderland is that it is re-negotiated every 6 months so what GoBoi says is probably true.
