All new Roller-Coaster.com.au Site Design

I thought I might let you know what's going on with this site as we speak. There's a brand new site design for the main site coming soon and appropriate forum style to match. The new design will be much more compact and more efficient, plus a lot easier on the eyes. It's a complete rebuilt from the ground up, but nothing will be lost in the change thanks to the database driven backend. A new key feature will be a site search system that lets you find exactly what you're after far quicker. The system will search all areas of the site (articles, database and galleries) and display them all at once so you're guaranteed to find what you're after. I don't like to set dates for anything, because I never actually meet them, but it will be ready *soon*. No previews either; I figure you can all wait and see. Rest assured that the design is a huge improvement on the current design, and it takes into account some of the responses I got from the survey.

Where did the posters go? Do uou have anymore of those park profile posters? I think they look really good because they are colourful and contain a bit of info. A SFMM or a KBF one would be cool, then I could gety a few and put some up in my room. Also, The green you have used on this new site reminds me of AAF, the old lime green looks better IMO, but its your site anyway.

A definite improvement. I was a bit worried there while the change-over was happening as the forums didn't match up with the new site layout and the tables were a bit skewed. Ofcourse it's all been fixed now... thanks to Richard and his eye for detail. I still don't really get the main graphical heading though. I know Rich once told me it was a roller coaster but I just can't see it

I know some people have said they preferred the original site design. What I've done is made it so that the old site design can also be used. All the content is identical. Simply use http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/old/. If you get a link for the original site design you can add the "old/" to reflect the old site, i.e. "http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/article.php?aid=27" would become "http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/old/artic...icle.php?aid=27".
