Gazza 2,263
A while back I remember seeing an advertisment on the back of a DW pamphlet for "dreamworlds antarctic adventure", it was located in Hobart. Has anyone ever been there? what was it like? and is it still open today?
Psycho 2
Antarctic Adventure was located in the historical Salamanca Place in Hobart, which is one of the 'touristy' areas of the city. I remember seeing it a few years back when I was down in Tasmania. I didn't go in because, to be honest, it looked pretty dull. It was basically a lot of exhibits of camp sites, models of explorers, and that sort of thing which have to do with expeditions in Antarctica. The "highlight" was supposedly a "cold room" which simulated the temperatures that adventurers had to endure in that area of the world. Was basically a more educational, museum-ish style of attraction. I assume it wasn't very popular, as it closed in November 2003.
