Good stuff Colin, I think you may have contacted me a few years ago. Wow, you've dedicated a lot of time, effort and money into it - but what a unique, one-off. I would love to see some higher resolution photo's of your model. Particularly interested in your scratch built ride models. Does the Mad Mouse work?

I tell you what Colin, the current Luna Park would certainly be an easier model to build. All you'd have to do is add a few conference buildings, a big warehouse/shed (Big Top), an office block, a brasserie building, a large ticket booth with a car park ramp behind it and a large flat area out behind Coney Island with a few portable pieces of junk scattered around randomly. Not nearly as fun as the old models though :)

I agree Huss. The rides are definitely not junk!! They are just in need of a little TLC and the addition of each having a succesful bridge being added to them(ie SOME sort of theming!!) Goboi, although I dont agree in essence the spirit of your post I do believe that the current rides at LPS could do with MUCH better positioning in the park. Your comment about them being "scattered randomly" isnt that far off the mark. Huss. Bad boy!! You leave LPS rides alone. They would NOT be better travelling or trailerised. They are quite fine being a part of LPS IMHO!!!. Or the obverse of this argument is for LPS to get a Rainbow!!! Would be MUCH better than having it travel randomly around the country. Put it at LPS with the best backdrop in Australia as its scenery!! Would be MUCH more succesful!!! *smile* Cheers Jobe

We are all (apart from myself) are complaining about the state of "LPS" in it's current condition. What you don't know is Parks such as the Coney Island, and Deno's Wonder Wheel Park are in a much worse condition. Attached are some photographs. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/Coa...ll/HPIM0468.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/Coa...ll/HPIM0474.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/Coa...ll/HPIM0475.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/Coa...ll/HPIM0476.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/Coa...ll/HPIM0477.jpg Now compare this to LPS.

Now surely those 4 posts within 4 minutes could have been rolled into one and surely you know how to turn the caps lock off or take your finger off the shift key. "The Bus is now leaving for Mandarin Caps, South Australia"
you, dont happen to live at milson,s point do you.

The 2 Huss rides out the back aren't junk, they just are treated badly!.... they are very expensive, and nice rides! Get the Breakdance trailerised, with backdrop etc, and get them both back onto the road! would be much more successful! chris
i worked with the ranger, spider breakdance, ufo, tumble bug tristar. at darling harbour carnival for wittingslows, the poor things are nearly 40.they dont look good at the back.

Ranger is only 16..... and its in pretty good condition, looks wise...I hear differently on the operational side of it. The Rainbow has also been kept rather well, as Wittingslow purchased that direct from Germany! a very good investment! I feel sorry for them, how they have to see it nowadays, des and tom would be soo devastated to see their big Huss rides in the hands of other people! chris

If I'm correct this would be the same Model seen on the LunaPark History Video. The snippets that I have seen looks amazing. It would be good if you could make it look like the original! Good on ya Screammachine i did have the original at one time yes i only have coney island & the palais & ghosttrain left.
