Your strangest or most risky onride photo

Recommended Posts

It's against the rules of any park to take objects like camera's into rides like coasters and freefall, but some fanatics don't care... What is your strangest or most risky onride photo? I start with this one, in the Stengel dive of Goliath @ Six Flags Holland. http://www.totalthrills.com/forums/album_pic.php?pic_id=41

Well, not so much a single photo, as it is 2445 photos joined together, as well as accompanying sound, but I thought this was adequately interesting. They tell you to hold onto loose items, which is what I did - my finger just so happened to press record during the ride. Quality has been way bumped down so everyone can enjoy it. I took another one on Lethal Weapon (never again), and one on Wild West Falls, but maybe if the public outcry is great, I'll put them up too. There's not much to see, but it's all part of the ride.

Nice video Richard! I wouldn't mind seeing the more higher quality video since I can load them quickly :) Just wondeirng though, why were the lasers turned off during your ride? Is this to cut running costs of the ride, or it's just the camera? I actually also took my video camera on SDSC during my ride, and it turned out great! Also, I took it on WWF and RRRC (which really did show the dirtyness of my lens at the time!) I should have those vids up in a week. Thanks, ~Flea

The lasers were turned off that day, which was a bummer. Sometimes the computer system or PLC that controls the laser movement dies, and the lasers shutdown mid-ride, which is interesting. However, on this particular day, they were off all day. Cost-cutting or what I don't know (this was back in about March). The lasers are picked up quite well by the camera, as you see with the single laser that was on, before the brakerun.

Yeah, my camera picked the lasers up great, I really do think that with out the lasers, it ain't that of a great ride it really can be with the lasers on. Luckily for me when I went to Movie World a few months back, the lasers were switched on for my 2 rides. I really do think that it has to be the best coaster I've ridden. My cousin thought that LW was the best coaster.. ewww :P So whacha say about that high quality video? :) ~Flea

Well.. seeing as that I'll be adding my on ride video of TBB, SDSC, RRRC and Corkscrew in the next few weeks, I don't know if I have a crazy shot of any rides. I mean, there are some TBB still's that I took, but it is a really tame coaster IMO.. http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/012.jpg http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/016.jpg http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/017.jpg http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/018.jpg ~Flea

The fact that you guys have posted photos of more coastets than there are in the entire of Australia is somewhat depressing. The fact that they're all on-ride makes it even more depressing. :D
Ditto.. :( Guys, I challenge you to bring a camera on any of Wonderland's rides.. very, very hard, and if they catch you.. be prepared for a scream of around 110db :P I've managed to bring my video camera and still camera on some rides a few times, but most of the time I get caught. :) ~Flea

I had that in Warner Brothers Movieworld Germany! It's not easy to get a camera onboard. I had the luck in Eraser, but in Wild Wild West I had to give it away before the ride started. Why? Because I was taking pictures while standing in the waiting line :?

Well firstly. Six Flags Holland is one of the favorite parks I'v been to. And WBMW Germany, wasnt that bad either. Well as for the On-Ride foto's i dont actually have any i took whilst on a coaster, but I have pretty good well timed foto a friend of mine took while we were on the coaster. (She was to scared going on it) Its called the Cobra and at Ratanga Junction, in South Africa.

Cool! So you've also been on the Tarantula???: tarantula2-big.jpg Because this ride (A vekoma Wakiki Wave) was replaced from Six Flags Holland (first Walibi Flevo) to Ratanga Junction!

In fact, I have a similar picture ! It's a bit noisy and blurred, because it was véry dark. A group of people on the so-called FUN DAY got nighttime ERT (exclusive ride time) It's Eraser at Warner Bros. MW Germany... It looks as if I'm véry scared, but it was my 8th or 9th ride in a row, it gets painful if you don't hold on... eraser.jpg (I put a little arrow where I sit :P )

Wow Beetle Coaster, I never knew that! They Started Constuction in 2000 I think it was, cause thats when i moved to Australia. The only downfall is that it doesnt go upsidedown  :x  Wonderland should get a new ride even if its just a ride like The Tarantula. ;)
I was very sad when the ride was removed. They replaced it by a Huss topspin, also cool, but you already see them a lot more. And although the wakiki wave didn't turn upside down, it's still a great ride! 1999wakiki2.jpg 1999, Last year it was over here :(wakiki1.jpg Me (the one in the right end) back in 1995, when the ride was new. And here one of tarantula where you still see some of the old colors! Now it's completely blue. tarantula1-big.jpg

Yeah , when i went back in April it was the first time i saw and rode The Tarantula. Although it doesnt go upside down, its still a great ride, its got some wicked twists and swings on it, almost upside down. If anyone want to see photo's of our trip to Ratanga Junction just ask. Btw the park has some wicked Themeing.
