Yeah Bluman. They are rennovating the ride, and going to market it for the new 2006 Attraction for transportation to the Slingshot ride, to open at the same time. That way the Genereal Public think they are getting a whopping 2 new rides for 2006! :P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P

Dreamworld should just reopen the attraction. If anywhere was really interested in purchasing it, the attraction would be gone by now. Itwas useful when we were too lazy to walk to the other side of the park, and it kept the asian tourists entertained until they decided they wanted to get off it half way...

Just look at the Thunderbolt. It was up for sale for years realistically. And then Cyclone when it was in Luna Park... You might realise this, but it does take months to get council grants to even consider purchasing an attraction of that magnitude.

You'd find that one of the key reasons for closure of both Skylink and Thunderbolt was not the potential of a few bucks made from resale, or even dwindling popularity. Both these attractions will have had increasing insurance premiums, where it got to the point that it was more cost effective to close them than it was to pay the premium, or upgrade them to a level where the premium is manageable.

There's always that too. If you've seen the premium figures for just a couple of body waterslides annually you'd be difinitely surprised at the figures for a chairlift that keeps guests in their seats via a "self operated bar." That's insurance pay dirt.
