Hi Guys Thought this might interest some of you!!! Taken from the LPS website. "Lunar Space Park Lunar Space Park blasts off these Easter School Holidays! Your mission, to discover the new face of Luna Park from March 31 to April 30 The countdown is on for Luna Park's first ever space carnival which blasts off this Easter. Lunar Space Park will transform the harbour city’s famous landmark into a fun-filled world of aliens and astronauts. One of four new annual carnivals, Lunar Space Park will offer a glimpse of the future as seen on the computer screen and silver screen. Combining fact and fiction, it will capture the imagination of children and adults alike. Lunar Space Park runs from March 31 to April 30 and includes: An exciting new temporary look for Luna Park’s famous face Outer space exhibits including displays from the new family film, Zathura: A Space Adventure, in cinemas March 30 Alien food (including green fairy floss) and entertainment The Shock Wave which will send guests twirling into orbit! (from 14 April – 30 April) Space decorations, prizes and much more! For Lunar Space Park, Luna Park Sydney has joined forces with partners such as SonyPictures Entertainment, The Sydney Observatory, Powerhouse Museum and the Mars Society Australia. Don’t miss out on all the new and exciting things we have coming just for the Lunar Space Park carnival. Session Times: Rides: * Energy Storm - operational from14/04/2006 - 30/04/2006 * Shock Wave - operational from 14/04/2006 - 30/04/2006 Zathura Costume: * Available on display till 5th April Mars Suit: * Available on display from 5th April Starlab sessions & ‘Zero In’ competition: * Before Holidays - 1st, 2nd & 8th, 9th April Saturday: 12pm - 4pm Sunday: 12pm - 4pm * School Holidays - 14th-30th April Monday-Sunday: 11am - 4pm Next carnival - Circo della Luna - June 23 to July 16, 2006 Luna Park’s version of the famous Venetian Carnival will feature Italian cuisine, music and circus, fanciful street performers and arts and crafts for the entire family. Luna National Park September 22 to October 15, 2006. Lunasea December 29, 2006 to January 28, 2007" Not a bad idea really!!! Should be a good event. I guess it's the best thing they can do really considering the park wants to spend zero capital on anything to do with the amusement park. So the best way to spend virtually no money and still draw in people is to create a temporary 'festival' or 'carnival' that changes every holidays
