The new Tornado slide is thought to be the most exciting waterslide in the world.
Yes, i heard about that, the University of Melbourne is due to complete their 5 year study into what is the most exiting waterslide, but we wont see if this belief is true until around December this year.
Opening this giant new slide, along with Blackhole and Mach V, means that Wet’n’Wild Water World can now boast to be the biggest and best water park in Australia, with an increase in land size of 30% and a 50% increase in the park’s capacity.
You mean before the Extreme H20 zone opened there was a waterpark here that was bigger than WnW?
Nothing can compete with the world class, innovative and unique attractions Wet’n’Wild Water World has to offer locals and visitors to the Gold Coast” said Steve Peet, Chief Operating Officer.
Yeah, like the Rocket, The Bowl, The Flowrider, Octopus Racer, MASSIVE play structure, boogie board wavepool, oh wait WnW doesnt have those. However, we DO have Speed Slides and Freefall slides, a dark slide in a two person raft, An open raft slide, oh wait the gold coast has had/has those rides already. Still, at least WnW is hitting one thing on the head, capacity :D Edited by Gazza

went to movieworld today, and as i was waiting at the traffic lights tornados queue was full of yellow clover tubes and ppl:) so it must be open now. stoped at whitewaterworld too, on the way home. they have clear roller doors on buildings that will be stores. there woring inside of the ticket booths. they were lifting more pieces onto tornado when i was in the cvar park. not much left for the octo racer. they have started putting small palms around the wave pool, and some small wooden poles(they look like thet would hold lantens around the pool too. the back wall of the pool looks complete too.

what happens on the tornado if u fall out of our raft ?
It has actually happened on one of the American ones http://www.gatago.com/rec/roller-coaster/19943960.html and people did get hurt. The problem is when the raft is at the very top of its oscilation, the only force on it is downwards by that point as the wall cant apply the centrepital force at that point. So if your raft gets beyond that halfway mark it will basically drop off, but as you can see the slides are now designed that they cant physically get enough energy to get to dangerous heights.
