Where do they go?

Ok so when a park close or sells a roller coaster and another park purchases this coaster of them. Where does the roller coaster go until it is installed? For example the Titan at World Expo. When it closes in 1988 did the ride stay at the location? When was it removed? And where did it stay before it went to wonderland? I'm only using the Titan as an example the question is, what happens to these coaster from the day they are closed to the day they are re-opened in another park!?

It either goes directly to a park and gets constructed straight away (just as if it were a new ride, and the parts were arriving from the factory) or it can just sit on site at the theme park until they get around to putting it up (Eg a coaster has been sitting at Darien Lake since the start of last year: http://www.rcdb.com/m/ig3472.htm?picture=4 ) Sometimes though, on the way the coaster parts will go via the manufacturer or some other steel fabricator etc. for a bit of maintenance, modification etc before then going on to a new park.
