heya guys i was just wondering does anyone know the mass of the giant drop gondala?? i need it to do my assignment :o also how many seconds of freefall exactly are there on the giant drop? Thanks :lol:

Well, if it reaches 135km/h (37.5m/s) , and its falling at an acceleration of g (9.8ms^-2) then it takes 3.83 secs. Why do you need the mass? If you're doing the normal freefall calculations I don't see why its relevant?

^Yeah, you are right actually (G.P.E = m*g*h, E=0.5*m*v^2 .....both require mass) Kind of odd that the teacher would expect you to be able to find such a technical measurement yourself. Though I'll take a rough guess, and say its around the 4 tonne mark.

Ahahaa you signed up for physics. Crazy fool. I have only 2 terms left of it thank goodness! Btw, we went to DW for physics last year and did all that stuff with the giant drop. I'll try and find the booklet they gave us for you :)
