Sydney Aquarium will open on monday under the new name "Sea Life Sydney Aquarium". So there has been big rushes in both SA and WLS to get things complete, SA have been moving fish back into the oceanarium after a long reno spanning over the past 9 months possibly more. And WLS have also completed some reno, sending the emus to Wagga and the Red Kangaroos somewhere else, to prepare for the arrival of many Agile Wallabies and some Eastern Grey Kangaroos. So to prepare for the new animals at least half of "Semi Arid" has been closed off for the laying down of fertilizers and rearrangement of the rocks, and some digging up of the red sand and addition of a more yellow/white sand (Eastern Grey's and Agile's don't live in the Outback) and the Eclectus Parrots are currently not in the show due to where they enter from is right over the construction areas.

I was heading up to the sunshine coast today (a rare occurrence) and drove past Aussie World and it looked packed - the cars were parking in the street in front, so I'm guessing the carpark was full. Is it starting to build in popularity with the newer additions? Admittedly I've never been there because I figured there wasn't much to occupy the 4 year old (unenthused by little kids rides, not old/tall enough for the faster ones). I don't recall ever seeing that much traffic around it though.

Did anyone find this suspicious on Movie World's last Fright Night video log post on their Facebook? Most of the commenters aren't even speaking english and most of the likers names are Mohammed etc. It's like they used a converter to get all those fake likers. post-29097-0-95255600-1348977977_thumb.p

Completely random question here: On SCSC how do the cars turn on the hairpin corners. Can each of the wheels assemblies ( 1 for each corner of the car) rotate (like a lazy susan bearing) to make it around the sharp corners or is their orientation fixed? Silly question?

Visited the Aquarium two weekends ago, theming has certainly been increased. The Samsung info screens are a good idea in theory, but the viewing angle on them is atrocious.

I always thought that there were 2 different axis, like a monster truck, or skateboard....

I have not had a chance to get through there since the 24'th yet, but i'm aiming for tomorrow. But also next door at "Wild Life Sydney" the entire semi arid area has been redone, its now "yellow" as opposed to where it was previously orange. the Red Roo's and Emu's are no longer there, but there are now eastern Grey Roo's, Agile Wallabies, 2 Echidnas, and 4 baby Emu's in there now, and it looks completely different now. They only just today took off the white cardboard from the glass surrounding it today after being there for probably close to a month now....

Am I the only one who is sick of Dolphin activists on Sea World's page? I get that they're against keeping dolphins in captivity, but they're not achieving anything by spamming the page with retarded posts that usually go "OMG TEH COVE RELESE TEH DOLFINZ!!1!!ONE!1"

My entire class think of them as being the same as Westboro....

Well not everyone has seen Universal's Earthquake - although it is also featured in beverly hills cop 3 as 'Alien Attack'. But yes - i thought of universal. I can't see pictures posted at work - but i'm assuming the image reanimated posted as for superman?

Yea I've seen the Universal one too and thought of that, but yes, superman was a lot easier to photoshop in there than anything from the Universal scene that I could remember.

Two piers in NJ were destroyed by Sandy: Funtown Pier and Casino Pier. All the coasters on Funtown Pier and at least one of the coasters on Casino Pier were destroyed. They weren't very good coasters, but it's sad to see nonetheless. I actually visited Funtown Pier a few years ago, so there's one childhood memory destroyed - literally. thumb_photo_60.jpg 178123_10151205072142964_1878356030_o.jpg

Concerning the depressing news coming out from Hollywood today: I just want to say Disney and George Lucas can get stuffed, I don't want Episode 7 thanks. Episode 1 was bad enough. Why oh why didn't they just confirm Indy 5 and 6? Surely that good enough for Disney's insane desire for profit?

You do realize that Disney only bought LucasFilm? They are not taking over the production of the films they only own it! It's like how Disney owns Marvel but Marvel is a production company in itself that makes the movies.

In a conference call with investors, Iger said Disney planned to revive the Star Wars franchise and release a seventh feature film in the series in 2015, with new films coming every two or three years thereafter. Lucas, 68, would be a consultant on the film projects. Iger said Disney had acquired as part of the deal a detailed treatment for the next three Star Wars films. Jay Rasulo, Disney's chief financial officer, said calculations in agreeing to purchase Lucasfilm were driven almost entirely by the potential of the Star Wars series, which already had a place in the Disney theme parks. For the love of all things sacred in this universe, why?
