I can only remember a little from the ride, but what I do remeber is that the brakes were annoying. Wern't they just think bits of rubber on the bottom of the slide?
Yeah... I have fond memories of watching friends fly out the end at 'dangerous' speeds. To me they resembled the grip you would use on a surfboard but I can't really remember. I can't wait for the refurb though! :D

Finally got to ride the new 'outside' Jetstreams today...Man, I really miss the old ones now.
Were they really different? Faster? Slower? Did you get any pictures?
In other news, Black Hole is sporting a nice new paint job...it looks brand new!
Good to hear, new paint jobs are always nice. On a side note, why is there holes in the top of the slide that let light in? Is it for safety reasons?

They felt similar in speed, but there is an utter lack of airtime anymore. As for Black Hole...with just about every pitch black waterslide park owners tend to put light holes in to make it seem like you are flying through space or whatever. They did it to Broken Headz at WWW too. Personally I like it better when they leave it alone and make it pure darkness, eg like the raft slide at the Beachouse in Adelaide.
