JD_bunnies_supporter 0
i have just noticed this years maintenace for mw put up: 'Batwing Spaceshot' - closed from Monday 1st February - Sunday 7th February inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 8th February - Sunday 14th February inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Looney Tunes River Ride' - closed from Monday 15th February - Sunday 28th March inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 3rd May - Sunday 25th July inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 7th July - Sunday 20th July inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Road Runner Rollercoaster' - closed from Monday 1st February - Sunday 14th March inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Scooby Spooky Coaster' - closed from Monday 3rd May - Sunday 20th June inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Lethal Weapon' - closed from Monday 26th April - Sunday 16th May inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Already i can see that SE will be out for about 3 months, which is quite along time for a fairly new coaster dont you think? and could i also say that if i was visiting the park between May 3rd and May 16th, why would you bother with LW, SDSC and SE all out for maintaince. thats half the rides main rides out. I am hoping some of this will change or be a mistake for any tourists visiting the parks in these days, cause i think they are going to be really dissappointed! pin142 799
'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 3rd May - Sunday 25th July inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 7th July - Sunday 20th July inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Anyone else notice two sets of dates are in the same range? Wonder if it is a typo and another attraction will also be down at the same time.
Gazza 2,263
I think there has to be a mistake in there, surely! Especially the overlap between attractions in May...The only coaster open would be Roadrunner

'Corkscrew' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 1st - 21 March inclusive.
pin142 799
With Corkscrew shut the queues for Sea Viper just got longer Interesting thing with Movie Worlds is there is no mention of Wild West Falls yet.
T-bone 675
I know this thread isn't a Sea World Thread, but since these parks are under the same banner, and it's on topic I thought I would mention it. Does anyone else find strange that on Sea World's Maintenance page, not only will Jet Rescue be closed for almost 2 months, but Corkscrew has made a return (see I told you it was back) and will be closed for a period of 1st - 21st of March. So does this mean Sea Viper will be still open for this period? For future reference (incase they decide to fix it) I have attached a screenshot of the page. Edit: Looks as though someone beat me to the punch. Edited February 1, 2010 by T-bone
themeparkgc 38
Seen as someone has already brought up Sea World, I thought I would have a look at Wet'n'Wild. 'Whirlpool Springs' is currently closed for scheduled maintenance. 'Speedcoaster' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 2nd - 3rd February inclusive. 'Calypso' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 26th April - 29th August inclusive. 'Aqua 8' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 26th April - 9th October inclusive. 5 MONTHS??? 'Twister' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 10th - 23rd May inclusive. 'Speedcoaster' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 24th May - 5th June inclusive. 'Wavepool' - closed for scheduled maintenance from 20th- 31st May inclusive. Is the aqua racer being rebuilt from the ground up? 5 Months maintenance is pretty extreme. Looking at the maintenance schedule for Twister and Speedcoaster it doesn't sound like they are being removed. Is it possible that the Aqua racer could be moved elsewhere and the aqualoops be placed there instead of removing rides? These maintenance schedules really annoy me because our family was going to visit the parks in early March and all the coasters at SW are closed plus two rides at MW. Just glad I'm not going between May 3rd and May 16th 3/4 of MW's coasters are closed.

How can they charge 70 bucks or so, to go to a park, with 3 rollercoasters closed, in other words, half the park. it seems abit rough if u ask me.
Spencer 16
I agree, they should offer a discount when multiple coasters aren't working. It is just ridiculous for them to expect people to pay the same price when they are missing out on something substantial in the park's experience. Absolutley ridiculous. -Spencer Edited February 1, 2010 by spencer
Reanimated35 3,493
but it could be a typo. i'd be more inclined to wait and see if they change anything once they fix the superman error
themeparkgc 38
All the maintenance pages have been updated to what it should look like. BATWING Spaceshot will be closed from Monday 1st February - Sunday 7th February inclusive for scheduled maintenance. SUPERMAN Escape will be closed from Monday 8th February - Sunday 14th February inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Looney Tunes River Ride will be closed from Monday 15th February - Sunday 28th March inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Lethal Weapon will be closed from Monday 26th April - Sunday 16th May inclusive for scheduled maintenance. SUPERMAN Escape will be closed from Monday 7th June - Sunday 20th June inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Zoe's Sub Splash at Sesame Street Beach will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 26th April - 23rd May inclusive. Vikings Revenge Flume Ride will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 3rd - 23rd May inclusive. Bert and Ernies' Big Dive at Sesame Street Beach will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 24th May - 20th June inclusive. Whirlpool Springs is currently closed for scheduled maintenance. Speedcoaster will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 2nd - 3rd February inclusive. Super 8 Aqua Racer will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 26th April - 9th May inclusive. Calypso Beach is a seasonal attraction and will be closed from 26th April - 29th August inclusive. Twister will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 10th - 23rd May inclusive. Speedcoaster will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 24th May - 5th June inclusive. The Giant Wavepool will be closed for scheduled maintenance from 31st May - 20th June inclusive. I'm much happier now because no rides are shut when I'm visiting. Because this topic has really branched off from just MW maintenance, maybe a title change is needed. Hendo 7
I'm with you themparkgc. My heart stopped when I first saw the maintenance page because my family and I will be at the parks in March and I'd just pre-purchased all of our tickets. I hope they have the page spot on now because everything worth going on will be running.
DonjaiInLA 0
Love the fact the parks watch this site closely
bluman 5
It would seem that MV have updated their maintenance schedule again in the past 24 hours. The June period for SE has been removed! I hope this is correct, as I'm hoping to visit the parks over the June long weekend.
themeparkgc 38
^ is that Movie Vorld?
Hendo 7
I just got an email back from MW Guest Services about the current maintenance page. This is what it says, "I can confirm that the Maintenance schedule on the website is now correct."
rappa 2,548
Interesting that major coasters (anyone notice how long Scooby is out for!) at all parks are down for a LONG time this year. I can only think we've hit the interval for major maintenance to happen and likely major NDT work to be carried out. I'd say that its a pretty good bet that Aquaracer is being moved and the Aqua Loops are going right at the front of the park there.
JDB 0
Damn! A group of us is going on the 10th for a friends Birthday. I'm really quite disappointed that SE will be closed...
TimMc333 27
Damn! A group of us is going on the 10th for a friends Birthday. I'm really quite disappointed that SE will be closed... That's the problem with going when it's quiet... The queues might be short, but lots of good rides go in for maintenance! It's happened to me many times.
