Is this new? isblEFeScI9LS.jpg

Oh boy I hope that's not the finished product. Why would 'alien invasion 3d' be part of the Justice League emblem? It should be separate and in a slightly more 'exciting' font. Fingers crossed they just whipped that up temporarily for the ad Edited by GoGoBoy

I think this interactive dark ride does a great job seamlessly incorporating the 3D screens within the real-life sets (obviously the JL sets won't be as huge as they are within this ride but you get the idea) - I'm praying movie world will do something similar with JL. In regards to the track system, although trackless would be great, I'd much rather prefer them to spend the money on theming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eroar7OlCLE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGmaPf7FUP8&feature=relmfu

Here is a new press release from Sally Corp outlining new details about the ride (coppied straight from Screamscape):

(6/26/12) According to a new press release from Sally Corp, the new Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D dark ride experience, opening in September, will feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Supergirl and Cyborg. Guests will enter a building themed as the Hall of Jurice, where they view “live” newscasts within by Vicki Vale reporting on the alien attack. “Passing through a high-tech scanning device into the pre-show area, guests discover the impressive animatronic Cyborg in his test lab, and Batman beaming in from the Justice League Watchtower Command Center, in orbit around the Earth. Once aboard their custom tactical assault vehicles, riders are teleported into the dark streets of Gotham City and join the Justice League in an epic battle. Scores are recorded on in-car consoles.” “Our goal was to create a ride based on the Justice League heroes that could be a fun and exciting experience not only for hardcore fans of the franchise, but also those not so familiar with the characters," says Sally Corporation CEO John Wood. "There's a lot of action and interaction throughout the ride, and you're immersed in the experience. There are full-scale three-dimensional sets, scenery, animatronics and special effects throughout, and blended into the city streets and spaceship interiors are high-definition CGI animated sets and characters...allowing us to take the action to new heights.”

Sounds incredible! Edited by Luke

Sounds like Sally Corp are going to employ the squinching (prospective shifting) technique/effect after all to 'blend-in' the real 3D sets with the CGI ones. The wording at the end of this sentence sounds like a hint to me. Can expect a climax/finale with a falling element? (possibly similar to the Spiderman/Transformers rides?) All VERY exciting news! Anyone interested in this whole squinching effect can take a look at the video below. Jump to 1:45

Smoke screens (Or more commonly known as a "Fogscreen") are created using 'ultrasonic fog' which is forced into a laminar air flow creating a projection surface. Its used on rides such as Harry Potter and the forbidden journey and Pirates of the Caribbean. Little clip explaining how they work:
