Transformers the ride and Warner Bros Movie World

true unless they collaborate with Universal.

Doesn't work that way. Basically, parks spend money on a new ride, and they make that money back in increased/sustained attendance over the life of the ride, and associated spending resulting from building that ride (Eg extra people come to the park, and they buy food, souvenirs, photos etc) A new ride is also an excuse to increase admission prices, so they can make back money that way. Generally in Australia, the most expensive new rides are $15-$20 Mil AUD, because for our low population and realistic attendance figures for our parks, that's about the upper limit of what we can spend. Transformers I'd guestimate would be around $100 mil, based around what large scale themed attractions cost. There is no way a park here could make back $100 mil on a new ride, so they don't do it. Universal wouldn't 'collaborate' and chip in money, because they too would want to know they are going to make back the money they are putting into it

Look, point is there are ways parks can have rides not from their studio if they really want to and both parties agree. Obviously the ownership of movie rights is complex, can chop and change (See the way Universal and Six Flags both had Terminator rides for a period) so its not as clean cut as saying "yep they could do that, nope they can't do that" Would you agree with this statement?

Regardless, If both Transformers and Shrek are originally non Universal then I'd think both brands could be used at any park that wishes to. A Transformers attraction might not even have to be a 4D ride for instance. Locally, who would ever guessed we'd see a situation where both Ardent and WVTP effectively "swapped" brands. At the end of the day, money is the most important thing to these companies. At the same time, none of us have access to the contracts associated with these deals and what rights either party reserves (Exclusivity etc). Trying to second guess what a bunch of execs in America would do.......
