DREAMWORLD UPDATE: The AVPX war will end at Dreamworld on 31 March, but we have intelligence that a new enemy will arise in 2013! Now is the time to go one final round.

I saw these two people dressed in black and they aways goes on the ride itself and they will not be happy when this will close. What do you think about this Leave a comment below

so how did you come to the conclusion it is closing permanently from the quote you just quoted from DW? A new enemy will arise in 2013 = temporary closure for refit/retheme

Damn it, I came in here to leave a comment above. Now I don't know what to do :S I get the feeling this is either A) A retheme - or A waste of money getting rid of this as it does soak up a decent crowd.

99% sure license is finished up with Fox. Dreamworld will want to retain that corner of the park as is for corporate events so i'd expect to see some new theme get whacked in there with minimal cost spent and an advertising campaign to the likes of heralding the second coming of christ.

Could someone please let me know what APVX is?

Ahh thanks! That's a shame as I woudn't have minded a go on that and never did. Still though from the earlier posts in this thread it sounds as if maybe the attraction will still be more or less the same sort of thing when it reopens, just re-themed. If not, I am guessing it's not all that much different to normal laser skirmish? If so there's plenty of venues for that nowadays (even here in miserable Adelaide lol)!

If Ardent own all the M9 venues there's at least 2 but probably more of them in Adelaide. I wish they'd open a theme park here too then. However maybe they need to put a few things right at Dreamworld before they can think about opening a new park.

Ha! NO chance of Ardent opening another theme park. Ever get the feeling they even resent owning Dreamworld? They are so adverse to capital expenditure. Unlike Village who embrace theme parks

Dreamworks shows they aren't. They could have easily left that area unthemed.

Well they will need to change that attitude pretty soon if they want to be able to continue to compete with Village. I agree they seem to be miles ahead in the game. Shame though as good competition is an important thing, even if only to keep Village keen!

I see Ardent as throwing a Sunway, Wouldn't surprise me if the parks closed in 5 years.

It's already impossible for Ardent to throw a sunway. Sunway installed one attraction after it purchased the park... and it was a used one at that. Dreamworld have already purchased several attractions under Macquarie Ardent... so it's now impossible.

From their facebook. Dreamworld Australia 23 hours ago Today, humans claimed victory over both alien and predator enemies. The AVPX facility is now closed for quarantine. Beware, a new enemy will awaken in 2013. Are you ready?

The first thing i think of when i hear the quote "To die for" But otherwise, the "Quarentine" line sounds like it would be REC styled or something.

The "to die for" - I'm thinking they're going zombie apocalypse themed.

If it's another flat ride or lazer tag I won't renew my pass.

I'm sure they'll miss you. I on the other hand would consider renewing my pass to check it out.
