Did not see this coming {Dreamworld}

So it looks as though JacobSibbald's has just become a reality. I must say I did not see this coming at all, but with the amount of money he has, this might not actually be as bad as first thought. Judging his interest in Dinosaurs though, thought he might have gone more for Seaworld. Then again, maybe that's why Seaworld's dinosaur island is leaving? Scared of a little possible competition maybe? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clive Palmer’s Dreamworld

March 31, 2013

Queensland billionaire mining magnate Clive Palmer has unveiled his plans to redevelop the Dreamworld and White Water World theme parks on the Gold Coast to add to his tourism portfolio.

Mr Palmer said his new company Blue Star Parks Pty Ltd has made a "multi-billion-dollar" deal to purchase the Gold Coast parks from its previous owner, Ardent Leisure. The exact cost is unknown.

He made the announcement on the same day he revealed his hopes for his “Blue Star” brand to be Australia’s largest company by 2020.

Mr Palmer said the companies had signed a deal to keep the parks running until at least 2021 and Mr Palmer has already announced plans to expand the park and has reportedly made contact with local land owners to discuss plans.

"It will be every bit as spectacular as the original parks but of course it will be updated with state-of-the-art rides never before seen in Australia and a stronger focus on themed areas" Mr Palmer said.

Mr Palmer said the purchase was something he had always dreamed of since he was a child.

"These people produced a themepark that is still considered to be Australia’s Disneyland and we want that spirit to go on for another 100 years," he said.

Mr Palmer owns the Sunshine Coast's Coolum Golf and Spa Resort, and the Gold Coast's Robina Woods and Colonial golf courses.

Who did he sign the deal with to keep the parks running until 2021, and why would he expand the parks if there was a chance they would only remain open for another eight years? Why does he then go on and say he wants the spirit to live another 100 years?

Not sure if you read the above posts or not... but it was an april fools joke...

We should have a Parkz fools day... a random day that isn't April 1st where everyone tries to post something to fool everyone else... the funniest part would be seeing all the facebook fanboy pages copy the news stories as real news... Then again - mainstream media would probably pick up on it and run it as news as well... Reanimated... we need to talk... ;)
