Most people on here take the piss out of Dreamworld. Myself included, and I for one will continue to do so as long as they keep trying to call themselves a "theme"park in their current state.

Wipeout's not moving, it's just being rebuilt to prolong it's lifespan. This kind of thing has happened before and will likely happen again.

That's is exactly what I had in mind, except instead of the wave at the back, a black wall with space junk/asteroids. Just so it fits in well theme wise with the vintage cars next door. Though TBH, it would probably be the best themed ride in the park

What is a turbine in ride terms?

Practicality 0% Setting the mood/theme 110% "A ride is not a ride without a turbine" I'm pretty sure Walt Disney said that...

What is a turbine in ride terms?

Gather 'round kids, it's time for a story.

Cast your mind back to the glory days of the Cyclone. Before White Water World, before the removal of the Thunderbolt, before turbines became as common as young female uni students standing on street corners in Kings Cross. Those in the know like to call these, "The Good Years". Children and family alike would travel for miles and miles to the park to experience the Cyclone. There was no ascending the outside of the room in those days, no forced advertising in the hot sun. You would enter what has become to be known as today's exit. As you wound your way up the path, large "turbines" would create a cyclonic system inside the room. Many tales have emerged of cow sightings during the storm. Those who survived the storm were evacuated from the building via the ride before blowing back to the station where upon you were forced to fend for yourself and make your way down the current entry.

Many years later, after very little turbine activity, park management felt the need to "re-theme" the Tower Of Terror. Many decisions were thrown around the boardroom table that fateful day. Tigers, spaceships, aeroplanes to name a few. None of those satisfied the board however. The janitor passing through at the time, as a joke mentioned "more turbines" as he thought the idea would be so terrible and laughable it would never be considered. "Turbines it is!" screamed the board with much excitement. And turbines it was for ToT2.

Again, several year's pass and it's time for another new ride. A disk-o is ordered to be delivered to the park. This time however, there was no boardroom meetings, no research done, it was straight to the turbines.

As the years go on and the Cyclone turbines get older and older and fall further into disrepair, more plans are underway to return Dreamworld to a "theme"park. Sadly, that theme is turbines, and "Turbine: The Ride" is scheduled to be opened September 2014.

Now go on kids, off you go. You've got some homework to do now.

So how does one count "turbines"? is a tree counted as a turbine?

I'm not sure what to make of that question, did u forget the sarcasm tags? I do that all the time.

So turbine is just a sarcastic term you guys use since the addition of turbines as props to the Tot2?

Well, no, a turbine is infact a turbine in the true sense of the word, it's just that Dreamworld believe that everyone must dream of turbines given their park-wide emphasis
