I was at the soft opening yesterday and rode a few times, was great.

My thoughts are it is a solid kids/family attraction, will serve Movie World well. Yes people have every right to be somewhat disappointed this is the replacement for the Looney Tunes River Ride but should not let that counter the fact they have done a great job here.

The theming and attention to detail is top notch, the fact that kids can get their own souvenir license for free is great. Photos on my Facebook here.

Thanks Jordan M. I can't believe how well they've replicated the park's existing theming and signage. The Wb Kids' sign, the spooky coaster sign and theming, Gotham City Cafe, the joker outside Arkham and the Arkham Tower (which is better than the original as it's properly 3D and goes all the way around!). My only concern is this means Movie World must have major confidence that they aren't planning any major changes to the park. Either that or the ride will slowly start to diverge from being an 'accurate' replica of the park as it is

Looks like they've done a great job. Only gripe I have (which I suspected it would be) is the black ceiling, made even more prominent by the natural light coming in. Think I mentioned this before but if it were painted like this it would make it 100x more immersive. Even if the ceiling was removed and it became an outdoor attraction it'd look better. Can't have everything though -- overall a brilliant job and I'm pleasantly surprised. I can see VRTP doing very well this year with this and WnW Junior.

Also possible is that the park will modify the ride when major attractions are altered or added. Let's face it - they have movie studios, and access to special effects artists with experience in scale models, replicas etc. It wouldn't be hard to give the film school students a project of producing a scale replica of a new attraction. Scooby's current facade is quite large, but nothing says the addition of another attraction couldn't see the scooby facade shrink to make room for it...

I'm with you on that flea, but black applied with a roller (to what was already black) as opposed to a detailed, realistic skyline inside a multi-million dollar casino shopping district would be much cheaper, and quicker, and require less maintenance.

Perhaps when the budget permits, they might make some minor changes to lighting and whatnot that might make it a bit nicer, less sterile and 'warehousey'.

Thanks for posting that. Things I like about it:

- TV on main street

- Moving parts, such as Tweety

- Pathway goes around the side, so parents can watch if they don't want to ride.

- Characters positioned around the space, such as Bug Bunny coming out of a rabbit hole.

Those were just some key parts that I think make the attraction that much better. Thumbs up for MW.

Have to say whilst I've always thought this would be a solid attraction for its demographic, I'm surprised at how detailed it is and the finished product.

Interesting that if kind of can be 'bumper' style, i thought it would have been more of a flow through style where head on's wouldn't be possible. It seems from that video You can kinda just drive wherever you want? And how does the ride finish? Are the cars scattered everywhere and You just have to walk around and find one?

^ That would be nice. So are these cars electric or are they fuming the place up?

Electric :)

No bumping is one of the driving school "rules". Cars start in the position on the track they were left by the previous driver, if necessary a ride ops staff member will adjust the car. Several staff monitor the track helping out with potential issues and giving the "all clear" to start the ride.

Separate lines for issuing a license and the ride.
