So opening day is tomorrow and stage 2 is going ahead. So the park will open with a lot of construction happening around the place. Also the roller coster is called bullet (Will you get caught) It is about cars driving away from cops where they go to the extreme to get away from the cops. There is a road in the middle of the coster with a whole out door stadium sitting for scenery as its like a race with viewers. I have been on all of the rides and they are great and worth a go on. See you tomorrow at 9:30-10:00, 1:30-2:20 & 5:00-5:30. Bullet roller coster will feature 4 inversions with 2 outdoor lift hills & 1 indoor lift hill. It also features a large over bank turn. It also has some great lighting packages. There are a western show, a wooden roller coster, tea cups and saucer with the twirler to ride their as well. See you tomorrow.

you can see the loop in this picture.

Its March 1st 1970. The park main street is open 1 hour before rides open. The whole park will open at 10 but 9am for early pass. The whole park and rides opened at 10am. The roller coster had wait time up to 90 minutes today. The whole park was crowded and people loved my show. I have a new plan for my magic coming soon. Here are photos anyway & can people please respond. It was busy and i will do an update later.

So went to this park the other day and man even the way dreamworld was a couple of years ago was better than this.

For starters they have no signage at the front gate about ride closures (closers) got inside and found that twirler Was closed for annual maintenance.

Theming on the coasters was pretty average.....

puke.jpg

Not enough cleaners employed so rubbish and vomit was everywhere.

I took this photo of the teacups ride, sorry for uploading it sideways, don't. Know how to rotate photos.

The meagic show was a waiste ...only 15 min long.

In clossing comments not going to bother coming back for a while.

Wow, the virtual reviewers are so harsh these days!! Did you even bother to check their website to see if the Twirler was open?! Of course the coasters won't be as well themed as Disneyland. Give them a go, man! Your rantings are giving me as much a headache as looking at your sideways photos.

Just going to say there where signs in front of the ride saying it was closed. Also at the entrance area had signs at every counter. I have not done an update to show they where closed. It was on our website and social media pages weeks in advanced. However the coaster is pretty well themed inside the ride building i have not posted pictures yet but theres tunnels, cars, moving scenery.

We at Adventure Land are in the process of adding park maps and signs around the place. However stage 2 construction is in full swing and the map will be added with both stages so it was decided to leave it till next year till we add them.

We are sorry for your inconvenience and we are trying to take on all criticism.

This was from the park & the magic show was 9:30-10:00, 1:30-2:20 & 5:00-5:30. So there where a 2X 50 minute shows & one 30 minute show as listed above. All where different.

Thanks Tim D'Ascenzo

Also the roller coster cost 21 million dollars and quite a bit went towards theming it. More than 2 Mill.

Update coming soon.

$2 million is actually the cost of Revolution which was built in 1976. If you're not familiar with that coaster watch the awesomely bad disaster movie 'Rollercoaster' which is available for about $6 from JB Hifi.

^ Any film that has Steve Guttenberg running in like a mad man is awesomely bad in my books - doesn't mean it's not a guilty pleasure. I love the 70s theme park atmosphere.

Sorry are we talking about the same film - Rollercoaster - 1977 starring George Segal (most known for his portrayal of Jack Gallo in 'Just Shoot Me'), and not starring, featuring or even crediting Steve Guttenberg? (who played an unnamed, unimportant and most of all uncredited messenger?)

You're shooting down an entire film (which was actually fantastic for its day) because of an extra who later became someone?

^ The film hasn't aged too well - although I thought Helen Hunt as George Segal's kid was good. Yeah, it certainly carries on that grand tradition of disaster movies from the 70s. And getting back to this thread topic - could be good for Tim to see with regards to what theme parks were like back in the 1970s. A bit like that episode of the Brady Bunch when they go to Kings Island.
