Zanstabar 241 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 Hello all, I was browsing the Wyatt Design Group website when I came across the unique plan for an entertainment precinct apparently planned for Warner Bros Movie World. Precinct Gold Coast, Australia For Warner Bros. Movie World Australia on the Gold Coast, Wyatt Design Group,* provided a master plan and conceptual design for an entertainment district that would be located at the exit of the theme park as an extension of the day’s visit. The program included several international branded eateries, retail shops, attractions, a giant programmed show fountain, and amphitheater for live shows. *Work performed as MSI Design for Warner Village Theme Parks 2011 Link for those that are interested: http://wyattdesigngroup.com/portfolio/warner-village-theme-parks/#! What are everyone's thoughts about this concept?
Reanimated35 3,479 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 I like the idea of Johnny Rockets, but the rest looks like a concept for Legoland.
Zanstabar 241 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 I like the idea of Johnny Rockets, but the rest looks like a concept for Legoland. I thought that too. Get rid of the lego tower and they might have had a winner.
mba2012 65 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 I think they need a bit more around the parks there. They have heaps of room so they could probably make something pretty good. I'd love to see something like this there.
AlexB 3,452 Report post Posted November 8, 2014 I've just spent half an hour searching the forum archives, because I am POSITIVE this has already been discussed... right down to the Johnny Rockets restaurant. If the concept masterplan was done in 2011, i'm guessing it was on these boards in 2011 or 2012. Pretty sure VRTP were in Partnership with Merlin (lego) entertainment back then too, which would explain the lego centre.
Reanimated35 3,479 Report post Posted November 9, 2014 What ever happened to those rumours of Legoland making an appearance in Australia anyway?
Flea 94 Report post Posted November 9, 2014 Yeah I also remember that discussion Alex. Wasn't it meant to include a go kart track or something?
AlexB 3,452 Report post Posted November 9, 2014 I think so Flea - although the plans posted above don't include the track that I can see. I can't for the life of me find the old discussion. I'm certain its the same master plan though - there's no way we'd have a plan made in 2011 that we haven't heard of until now...
Zanstabar 241 Report post Posted November 9, 2014 Seeing that this concept and master plan was made in 2011, what would be the chances of this precinct actually happening?
themeparkgc 38 Report post Posted November 9, 2014 I think this was the discussion referred to above:

pushbutton 752 Report post Posted November 16, 2014 I love the idea of having a Legoland discovery centre there (or actually it could be anywhere in the Gold Coast).
