yeah - big coasters such as what we're expecting are difficult to theme to the same level as a flat or dark ride. So long as it's well presented - I don't mind 'Green-Lantern-esque' theming. I thought GL was done rather well TBH.

When are they gonna announce the god dam thing? Also when would they start putting the supports and track together, and how long would it take to complete?

hopefully they announce it soon, our parks are so shit when it comes to announcing new rides.

Be patient. Whilst there was talk of an announcement in August, do keep in mind the rollercoaster is not due to open for a maximum of 15 months. If they revealed everything now, apart from the occasional construction update, what will us Parkz forum members have to speculate or discuss until then? All the questions would have been answered. There are also many other reasons to not announce something such as licensing agreements, industry competition or generally, just the state of progress in the project.

We also speculated that any announcement won't come until well after the DC Comics Super-Villians Unleashed area would be opened so the general public won't get confused between the 2 new additions.

Yeah, I reckon they are just spacing it out from the DC Super-Villains area opening which only just happened over the weekend, as not to take any of the limelight off of it and have too much new stuff happening at once.

Im not to fussed about the official announcement of the ride at this stage, im just pumped to see it slowly get put together.

Gold Coast Bulletin published an article in today's paper (page 5) regarding a teaser about the new roller coaster.

In the article a VRTP spokesperson says "plans for a steel-structured sit-down extreme roller coaster for the park with an opening date of 2017".

Sweeeeeet! :-D Let the speculation begin.....continue!

Yeah you are probably right. I'm fairly new to this and new to posting stuff on anything, so any help and guidance is appreciated. 

Do I change it somehow or will the moderators, etc do it, if they deem it necessary of course.  Is it really that much of an issue though?

Going down this morning for the 8:30am early entry to check it all out.
