Yeah I mean driving up and parking, you get out of the car and with the addition of DC Rivals,  MW has this real big park look to it now, it's great to see a local park getting world class stuff like this, really is pushing it into another level. Place was pumping yesterday as well, great vibe.

Saw this in person yesterday and thought it was really looking impressive, pictures don't do it justice. l mean it makes Superman Escape look tiny and extends the visual footprint of the park so much, really a terrific addition. MW just going from strength to strength.

Agreed, I've driven past the park several times in the past week and I have to say every time I see it I am blown away. Dreamworld always used to be the park that made a big statement when you drove past, MW was always tucked away a little bit, but now DC Rivals has brought the skyline of the park right up to the M1 and the park is now so much more impressive.

New Month, New Update. 1st of July 2017.

Thanks for all the compliments on last week's update!

Comparison Shot 1

Should be able to see the first drop and hill through the NIL over the next two months :) (Not the best photo this week - but for consistency I've posted it anyway)

@AlexB Turns out they're using the scaffolding for the Maintenance Building. - but that's basically the same as the station, so we'll just say you were correct ;)

Friction Wheels have been installed in the Track Switch/Station area. (As seen in the photos above and below)

First Drop/First Hill

First Drop supports continuing from the main structure have been erected. As seen above.DSCN8033.thumb.JPG.8eb018afbc4621918d5f886f8a15cd7c.JPG

They have been erecting most of the supports for the first hill + returning bunny hills. (Viewing the larger version of this photo makes support viewing easier!)

For the first drop the supports are just below/equal to the ground level of the road. Meaning that the train/bottom of the first drop is going to reach ground level (or just below it).

and just because I love how the loop looks - here's another one of the same.

Here's my first update after getting back from my trip. Wow, it does look awesome, and standing right under the loop and first drop really shows how height these are, because photos don't really show it.

Something I noticed, which I don't think have been posted about, is the supports for the first drop are now all in place, just the tracks to be installed, and you can really get a sense of how steep it will be now.

Plenty of progress for the station too, which seems to have progress quickly.

Few more parts have arrived in the carpark and still a few supports for the lift hill.

Just arrived at the park as I'm doing the Ultimate Experience today

Can confirm that the shipping containers that have arrived contain new track pieces

Can you do a review of your ultimate experience when you get some time I wouldn't mind doing this just want to see if it's worth it 👍

This afternoons update. Seems this weeks progress has mainly been the delivery of parts and construction of the station. Plenty of really large supports have arrived for the lift hill, as well as a few pieces of track.

@Glubbo I don't think there will be a path there. I imagine the path will be outside the park, and will provide access to TG, AOS, WnW for the public

Yeah sorry you're right in that the path won't be there. It appears to cut under DC Rivals between the first airtime hill and non-inverting loop.

Yeah, I remember my first sight of MW in 2006 was seeing the top hat of Superman as you come through the cutting that is north of the GC Highway exit at Helensvale. Now the loop is what you see first.
