Canon vs. cannon. The noun canon can refer to a few things, including (1) a code of laws, (2) an established principle, (3) a group of exemplary literary works, and (4) the works of a writer that are accepted as authentic. Cannon mainly refers to a large weapon that fires heavy projectiles.

Thanks @JaggedJanine. I was curious in case they were planning to make the rollercoaster do something grand over the car park entrance (like a loop etc.) followed by a short section around the grass overflow car park and back. But yeah, those earthworks and pipes look like it's just for emergency services.

Not sure if I missed anything but are the Mack Rides crates still on site unopened? The sudden amount of earthworks just got me wondering.

Coming to think about it, the average speed should be high considering its in a villain themed area, and it would be a bad fit with doomsday destroyer just to add a kiddie style coaster.

For your information, the new rollercoaster is very unlikely to be anywhere near the DC Comics Super-Villians Unleashed area. Otherwise, it would have to travel around or through Arkham Asylum. It's highly likely though to be located southeast of Green Lantern & Justice League: Alien Invasion 4D.

As far as the size of the steel for the footings, (someone said before it is due to the soil conditions) this is correct.

When we install lighting towers, the condition of the soil determines the footings, so good soil will allow for a pier footing (the long steel cages) where soil that had been transported to site to level the land, or if there is a water table not that far below the surface you would use pads as in the photos above to spread the weight.

As an idea, a 25m steel light tower will have a pier footing approx 4.5m to 6m in depth, however this varies depending on the g-force that will be placed on the tower.  So as far as the large footing that has been completed...it could be for a loop or a launch end, it really is anyone's guess at this stage.

But fury325 is 99 metres tall so the foundation and rebarb would cover a ridiculously big area anyway to support the structure.

If anyone can find a pic of any hyper coaster groundwork feel free to post it to compare.

Here are some construction pics of Fury325 from http://aerialvideophotographer.com/fury-325-worlds-tallest-fastest-giga-coaster/

Great find!

Anyone know if that massive cement square was for a support pole or the loading station?

Looking at Google Maps it supports the first right hand turn after the initial drop and part of the 360 ish degree turn on the way back to the station. There is another smaller one where the track turns back at its furthest point.
