No more locker hire fees on Superman Escape at Movie World

So how does the payment work if you have been stuck in queue for over an hour? Do you have to pay before you can open the locker? If so, how do you pay when your wallet and loose items are in the locker? If you can open the locker without paying after the 1 hour limit, whats to prevent patrons from taking their items and leaving without paying? Silly question probably, just wondered how you would get your stuff out of the locker in that situation. Or do you pay an initial locker deposit which is refunded if locker hire is closed within the first hour?

As has been mentioned elsewhere, in the past where you've exceeded your time they unlock using an admin key and then you either pay or they escort you to the shop to pay. You can't access your locker after the timelimit.

In addition, where queue times have exceeded the locker times, they've generally extended the locker hire time free of charge.

If $2 for the Superman lockers was annoying, I can't be the only one who absolutely detests paying  $10 for a locker every time I go to Wet & Wild!

If the lockers were free, or at least much cheaper, I'd go a lot more often, and I'd be very likely to buy a drink or snack / lunch while I'm there.

As it is I never buy these after spending my spare cash on a locker.

Nah mate. The way me and the misses look at wet'n'wild lockers' $10 bucks to keep $2000+ in phones, wallet/purse's and car key's locked up for a hole day we see is pretty good value.

Well I don't, and part of the reason is I'm often not there for a whole day. Usually only for a couple of hours, then I might go to Movie World.

If it's free for one hour for Superman, it can be free for a few hours at Wet & Wild.

It's not as if it costs much to operate and maintain them, and even if it did they are part of the park. I don't pay a separate fee to walk on the paths because they need maintenance. The funds just come out of general revenue, which comes from the price of tickets and passes, as well as food and merchandise.

Don’t have an issue with paid lockers at water parks. You don’t have an option to keep your valuables on you for parts of the day.

If you don’t want to pay for lockers, bring a backpack and put everything in it and leave it on a chair with a towel over it.

It’s a risk, but a small one. I’ve never had anything stolen from a backpack at a water park in my 18+ years of visiting them

It's a case of supply and demand. Frequently during peak periods, there are banks of lockers that are sold out. Unlike dry parks - almost every guest visiting a water park wants to be able to secure their valuables so that they can swim.

If they were free, then those people who do stash their stuff in their shoe \ backpack etc would likely take up the free locker option.

Then you'd be on here complaining that there aren't enough lockers. (Because, of course you would).

So possibly more lockers might be needed.
