A Movie World History Lesson

This isn’t me providing the lesson, but asking questions about Movie World’s history about current buildings and areas original usages.

Was this building actually a diner and when did it close?

Has this building ever had a real purpose because I have never seen it be used for a decent amount of time

And this area that has all the games in it, what was originally here or the space used for? (I do know the dodgems building was HP and then the Matrix)

Perfectly done MickeyD!

To add: Yosemite Sam's Diner used to be right next to the Looney Tunes stage \ theatre. It was a covered, but open air ampitheatre, and used to host a LT stage show. Naturally, it made way for RRRC, at which point the food outlet kind of lost most of it's audience.

As for sundowners - where Intencity \ Matrix \ Harry Potter was is where the Young Einstein Gravity Homestead used to reside, (from memory)...

The Studio Commissary (or Stars Cafe) will always have a soft spot being where I had my first ever job as a waiter. The food back in the day was really quite good for a theme park, think Cobb Loaves, Club Sandwiches etc. It was a seasonal venue in it's later years along with a small Ice Cream Parlour attached which is where they take character photos now. It was also home to a very large commercial kitchen which if i'm not mistaken is still used to this day as the main kitchen?

It was also home to Breakfast with the Stars early on in it's life, along with Lunch with the Legends. This is actually where Sophie Monk from Bardot and other ventures actually started her career as a Marilyn actor. Honestly I think it was the nicest food venue the park had, where you could just sit back and relax with a nice coffee and lunch and soak up the atmosphere of the park.

When was the Warner Bros "Dodgems" movie released? I can't seem to find it online or on DVD.

Could be quite good though.

Oh my god you're ridiculous.

I don't recall ever dreaming about a hot wheels sidewinder either. Wh
