New Slide @ Adventure Park Geelong - Tsunami

Recommended Posts

Adventure Park near Geelong have just announced their new waterslide for the 19/20 season, the triple funnel four person raft slide called Tsunami, located next to the existing Tornado Slide.

It's expected to open in November but unfortunately guests will still have to carry up their rafts, as the conveyor is not scheduled to be installed for another 2 years! Still it's great to see the Victorian parks continue to invest in new attractions. Funfields is now the only one remaining who haven't revealed their new 19/20 attraction.

On the plus side, it's good to see Victorian parks continue to prove to Sydney and Gold Coast that continued investment of waterslides is viable.

On the negative, looks like a waterslide fucked a parrot.

I sure hope these guys have figured out what the colours are going to look like in 10 years when its all faded and dirty. At least single-colour slides are easy to re-paint. That one is going to be a nightmare.

Not sure what they think a 'tsunami' is, other than 'generic word for cool waterslide' - because this doesn't resemble it.

Yeah visited their in January and getting the raft to the top is a decent effort. The lines for the Tornado were not long for that very reason-it is physically quite taxing to get these to the top, especially if you only have 3 people or maybe one or two passengers are younger kids. Missed opportunity for mine.

However it is a nice park and great to see that they are still adding quality attractions. This will do very well and will round out the attraction line up nicely.

You will find that they place a particular number of rafts out to control the flow of people per hour. Plus the fact they know it'll be a real bitch for people to carry those rafts up to the top. I know these conveyors are expensive and can be difficult to maintain but they keep the guest happy.

It's a great slide. Plus the height will most likely allow for family to utilize this attraction also. Even tho the conveyor wont be installed its still a win win for the park thats for sure.
