Dreamworld October Update 2019

49 posts in this topic

I was at dreamworld today I can confirm that it is pretty dead with most rides having a max one cycle wait with most being walk ons with the exception being SV and that’s probably because of some of the worst operations I have ever seen (and I’ve been to a six flags park) with only 1 cycle every 15 mins. On the the hand WWW was packed especially the wave pool but I think that’s because half the slides were closed which mostly include all the higher capacity ones.

I wouldn’t say they’ve gone all out with that.

I mean the fact they went all the way out to decorate the globe into a pumpkin is very impressive.

We also got another 4 days till the event starts so who says they couldn’t have anything else planned?

I dislike the fact that they've roped off the carriage. I get it - you don't want people climbing all over it, perhaps destroying the hay bales and what not, but there's too many 'themed items' in our parks that are roped off, ruining pictures and such (like the carnivale floats at SW).

There is now hay and pumpkins all over the park and more and orange banners throughout the park.97F8E3D7-FBC3-4828-A577-8AB1CB2155FD.thumb.jpeg.7d108c36326d3062e363f444f4b00be0.jpegC8011292-3FAF-42B1-8E95-1A5F2A79DF44.thumb.jpeg.71205b9f9998b92658d266a2e3adb76c.jpeg34F0FABA-A1CF-4EB2-B41C-D6AC278E36C4.thumb.jpeg.3accb843b594a4b466e50a20b4b88d06.jpeg6C449ECE-C907-480B-8A32-9590D51B9640.thumb.jpeg.27ab52e2b10cca63517552571dc27a50.jpeg21AABA4B-0737-4AEF-876B-C6A9155A79BA.thumb.jpeg.b13eedca1d5515d05391c97ab560b0a3.jpeg921B43F9-9888-4181-8FE8-EE1FE30E5340.thumb.jpeg.771b62ceac8ccd74ae51d29b342a631f.jpeg

Also the reason the water has looked gross the last few days is because it has been dyed orange you can see that now thats the fountains have been turned back on again.

I’ll look around and and see if I find anything else.

Orange dye, in a pool painted blue. no wonder it looks like shit.

Nice idea, poor execution. Colouring the water is a movie world thing, right? #Yong

Nek minnit, they drain the pool and realise the dye has stained the walls, and the slide re-painting team are urgently redirected to repaint the fountain, leaving the BRO half painted throughout the summer season.

Or hell - they just throw walls up around it like they do with everything else.

DW didn't get the memo that a pumpkin only lends itself to Halloween if it’s carved.  Otherwise you're just randomly leaving food around the park

Better tell Disney - https://wdwnt.com/2019/09/photo-report-downtown-disney-9-14-19-halloween-decor-oogie-boogie-cake-paradise-pier-hotel-and-more/
