Maybe additional track work required in that section?

could be metal fatigue or cracking needing replacement? It could explain the blown out maintenance period till November now.

It was discussed in the shareholders meeting that they are waiting on a new chain.

With the state of international freight right now the delay is unsurprising.

Eh, she'll be down for a few months because the chain is on a boat somewhere.
Oh well, may as well throw some paint on it and get the engineers to give it a look while it's just sitting there

2 birds 1 stone sort of thing because once the chain arrives it'll be kicked back into full operation assuming everything goes smooth.

Id guess it has to be produced, not just off the shelf. And no doubt you don't replace chain without doing sprockets either.

I am shocked if indeed they didn't order a new sprockets. As those things wear out rather easily over a long period of time causing all sorts of extra wear and tear to chains.

Didnt the ride close before covid? If they are waiting for chain id say they found something that wasnt planned for, given it was 6 months ago. If you had annual manintenance planned for a chain replacement, youd think they would have it before you went down for maintenance. Not be ordering/waiting for it now.

It was down before the closure as it was getting a full repaint. Which wasn’t finished when Covid struck. So when the park reopened they had to finish paint and it’s possible the chain was found to need replacing after the closure started.

Yeah I was pretty sure there was a chain discussion. Stairs are to improve guest evac conditions to make it safer / easier.

I guess the semi frequent ride stops have made them re-think the design?

Also asked about Arkham and he wasn't aware of it scheduled to be removed but was aware 1 other ride on the VRTP is to be removed.

He said there is a slight chance that it may operate again but was unlikely.
