Very true. Forget how old the ride is. How long do we think it has left? Guess it still has a bit of life in it if they’re giving it a face lift to keep it going for a little while longer. 
 

As it is built next to & in the waterpark, would a new (Similar sized) roller coaster replacement be out of the question? What could fit in that area?

The best thing would be if Dreamworld retracked the big turns and the s-bend’s. Those parts are getting very rough. Add some new themeing and the desperately needed second train and the ride could go another 10 years. Look at Python at Efteling. It’s too iconic to demolish so easily.

If they are rough due to that, they were always rough. How much material do you think is in the track? Thickness wise i mean.
