New Themed Area for Dreamworld Ideas

Recommended Posts

Since there is a million threads about what should be replaced or what’s next for a theme park, why not discuss about ideas for a new themed area for Dreamworld! The Gold Rush Country is basically gone so what do people think should be replacing it. Do keep in mind that the area currently is home to The Giant Drop, BuzzSaw and is going to be the home of the new coaster.

The area highlighted is the area that needs to have a new theme.
Since the area is nearly as big as WWW, it could be split into two smaller themed area or one giant themed area.

I personally think a futuristic area or a new western area would be good but the new coaster is most likely going to be snake themed.

It's been done.

Yeah I know but that was an activity. This thread is for sharing and discussing ideas of what theme it should have instead of showcasing your idea of a new themed area you have created and designing the rides .

You're failing to take into account the fact that the new coaster takes up MOST of that area.

Yes. Use this thread for sharing and discussing your ideas on what theme it should have, not that other thread for showcasing your ideas of what theme AND rides it should have...

I think it should be some kind of fairies and magic area to better fit that fairy store at the entrance of the park. it could have some kind of fantasy dark Ride with a theme of witch’s and wizards. and maybe like a junior coaster about fairy’s and have a few Shops, food places and meet and greets

bulldoze the fairy shop. then you have a clean slate, and aren't tied to some crazy fairy idea in the middle of the aussie bush with steam trains and a snake themed aussie coaster...

Well dreamworld had a space theme for tot2 For a short while in the Aussie Bushland. there was American zombie outbreak in the Aussie bushland. Ardent will put any theme in the Aussie bushland even if it Doesn’t match at all

I think you're confusing a single 'dream' advertising campaign where they (very confusingly, I might add) portrayed Astronauts riding TOT2. That doesn't mean TOT had a 'space theme'

Oh ok I just thought all the astronauts meant like a space theme but it still stays True ardent will put any theme in even if it has nothing to do with the Aussie bushland

Naa they should totally build an entire themed land to supplement an entirely out of place gift shop.
or... they could move the fairy shop to ocean parade, where all random themes go to die...

Keep the fairy shop, build another matching Main Street building in between that and sky voyager and block the path off to Buzzsaw (have the new entry near the new coaster) The new themed area, say out the back of the old blue lagoon should have a new train stop there. Main Street needs to be cleaned up first. Re do the facade of Sky Voyager. Fingers crossed for a good new themed area your all talking about.

Tower of Terror was more "Fortitude Valley" than it was "Outer Space".

If you're stuck with a name like "Steel Taipain" and an abandoned saw mill next door, why not go with a bit of Outback Steampunk? A land of imaginative creations with an Australian flavour...

A new themed area which celebrates the magic of storytelling found in our own backyard. Native planting will hide and reveal different gardens each celebrating Australian literary classics. Such as The Magic Pudding, Animalia, Blinky Bill, Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and The Rainbow Serpent.

I imagine The Tales & Fables Gardens would feel like a forest neighborhood. Meander  'off the beaten track' down gravel pathways to find discoveries of all sizes. This includes sculpture gardens, interactive puzzles Immersive experiences and rides. A combination of attractions including a flat ride, log flume, dark ride and a re-theme of an exisiting attraction are some of the big changes for this forgotten corner of the park.

If geographically possible, to finally establish a naturally flowing connection from the front of the park which snakes down the side of the park and into Corroboree. A new dark ride based on The Rainbow Serpent would bridge the two areas. Vintage Cars to be updated with outdoor show scenes - unsure of which story would be best?? Open to ideas and suggestions - brain juice running out

Dreamworlds strongest USP is the fact they are the only park in the world celebrating Australian culture. Having a section of the park celebrating part of our arts culture would help add another dimension to the park.
