First DW visit post-closures right now.

entry pretty seamless.

headed for Sky Voyager first, line looked long but taking into account every second queue line closed and spacing figured it wasn’t really that bad. 2mins in queue and it’s closed due to technical difficulties.

All good, that happens. Headed down to MDMC as its a big deal for my 7 year old. Staff member on entry, not open. “Technicians are running late today, will be open later on”.

awesome.

currently In the line for Escape from Madagascar - hoping for third time lucky...

No sticky-dots? 😮

No sticky dots. Show that you have registered at the tent outside the lego store ramp, then head straight up to a sorter who directs you onto whichever booth/entry to go to.

I’d say 3mins from crossing the zebra crossing from the carpark to being inside the park (granted I only had 2 people to register, and my iPhone pre-populated all the details)

Wait until you get to the giant drop @Brad2912. Three seat social distancing.

Thankfully won’t have to worry about that with my near 8 year old not able to ride it until he is 10 for some stupid reason. (Moreso stupid is the 10 year age restriction on Claw despite a 120cm height restriction... stupidity)

Wow... even Rivals has an age limit of 7 and the height is 130cm on that one. (my boy is 3cm off!)

I always thought for every ice cream parlour ever its like:

-cup or wafer cone is standard,

-waffle cone is extra

-dipped fancy cone is a bit more on top of that.

That said I always get cup, you don't want the intensity of nice ice cream weakened by a bland bit of waffle cone.

turned the corner into the lift hill to see the boat before us was bottomed out/stopped pre-conveyer belt that takes you to the lift chain. We rammed into it and shunted it forward onto the conveyor. It wasn’t stacked as it was the first boat released post covid wipe down (we were second).
we then stopped pre-conveyor, and the boat behind us rammed us forward onto the conveyor and up we went. Rounded the corner into the station only to shunt the boat in front again as the station was stacked. Boat behind us then shunted us. At this point there were some worried rice ops, some techs, heard something about turntable one. Our boat and the one behind were evacced off the side after waiting about 10mins as we couldn’t get up to the station.

The boats physically hit each other??? thats not good.

Which lift are you talking about? the first smaller one after the station? I didn't think it was possible for there to be stacking as your first block section is the bottom of the first lift hill. Quite often you wait on the rubber conveyer for the boat in front to be far enough up the actual lift hill part before proceeding.

It’s pretty standard for boats on flume rides to be able to bump each other when stacking up. They’re kind of designed around this on everything from original arrow log flumes through to splash mountain.

As for park capacity. They haven’t been reaching their 50% cap but I feel a lot of that has to do with public concern on going out. After all the Gold Coast is pretty much at 100% occupancy so the people are here.
Raising the cap will hopefully flow on to greater public confidence.

It is noted that Jamberoo Action Park and other water based theme parks are unlike many other large gatherings and entertainment venues for the following reasons:

1. Guests move freely in Jamberoo Action Park, reducing exposure time.

The Communicable Diseases Network of Australia (CDNA) defined close contacts of COVID-19 as

  • face-to-face contact in any setting with a confirmed or probable case, for greater than 15 minutes cumulative over the course of a week, in the period extending from 48 hours before onset of symptoms in the confirmed or probable case, or
  • sharing of a closed space with a confirmed or probable case for a prolonged period (e.g. more than 2 hours) in the period extending from 48 hours before onset of symptoms in the confirmed or probable case. Any areas of the park that may result in congregation (for example queue lines and food outlets) will have additional distancing measures in place.

The Chairlift, Toboggans, and The Jamberoo Express are the only attractions within Jamberoo Action Park that require guests to be within 1.5 metres for a period of time that is considered ‘close contact’.

2. A large percentage of attraction attendees are made up of family members and others who live in the same household and thus do not need to be physically distanced from each other.

3. Chlorine is utilised in all swimming pools to ensure chemicals remain within the guidelines provided by NSW Health. Chlorine is a natural disinfectant and will assist in keeping all team members and guests safe as they interact with the attractions and other high touch surfaces that are covered or immersed in chlorinated pool water.

Want quality entertainment in a natural setting where no two rides are ever the same?

Coming from the theme park with Banjo's Billabong & Billabong Beach, 2 gray-coloured Tornado ride elements on 2 separate rides (Funnel Web & The Perfect Storm) and possibly in the near future 2 8-lane racers (Surf Hill & Grand Gorge Falls) (but hopefully next season & with a planned closure of Surf Hill with hopeful replacement ride for it planned (hopefully the alpine coaster with an altered finish to finish where Surf Hill finishes)).

To add to the list in the previous post:

  • Any other tickets that were unused in the 2019 - 20 season and re-issued/re-validated can also be used & they encourage holders of these tickets to use them at their soonest convenience.
  • Offering a refundable booking option for e-ticket purchases this season. The refundable booking option is selected by default as part of the ticket purchase process, so it is up to the purchaser to actively un-select that if they choose not to purchase a refundable booking type ticket. It is completely your choice. If you think you might not be able to come to Jamberoo Action Park for some reason, please check the terms and conditions of choosing a refundable booking & consider if it might be a good option for you before completing your ticket purchase. Please note that without purchasing the refundable booking option, Jamberoo Action Park has a no-refunds, no-exchanges, no-extensions policy as stated in the terms and conditions agreed to by the customer before ticket purchase

Correction to previous post: 2019/2020 season passes still valid until 31 October 2020 inclusive.
