The Parkz Update: Sea World, Halloween 2010

Whilst sister park Movie World promises blood this Halloween season, Sea World is offering something a little bit more sedate. There are several additions to the park for the period all centred around family fun.

A quality effort has been put in to dressing up the Sesame Street Beach area with Halloween theming.

All of the attractions got a touch of cobwebs, bats, spiders and all other things SPOOKY!

The decorations do well at hitting the mark between fun and spooky, perfect for their target young family market.

Some new life, if only short lived, has been breathed into the long dormant train station. Featuring a kids face painting and colouring in zone, and it's own share of decorations.

You can also catch some of your favourite characters here, dressed in costume of course, for meet and greets and photos.

Also guest staring at the park for the Halloween season is Sesame Street favourite Count Von Count. No doubt people are going batty batty batty over his appearance.

Even Big Bird has been included in the celebrations, sporting a very cool costume for the occasion.

The new Halloween show has Elmo dressed up too.

But the Count is the real star here, make no mistake.

He brings with him his own lineup of funky costumed backup dancers. We recon they must go to the same hair stylist as The Jokers girls over at Movie World.

Abbie is also in town to celebrate the Count's favourite time of year. She appears to have brought with her a bizarre sidekick that's dressed by Harry Potter and sounds a lot like a pirate.

They involve some kids from the audience in the show too.

What's cool about the show is a fair bit of interaction between the characters and the dancers. The show is a nice addition to the park.

In other news the weather now has Battle Boats taking on much more rider appeal.

With the sun out Castaway Bay looks even better. The nice weather can only mean one thing...

It's time to re-open the water park for the summer season. And when we say water park, we mean, one pool, one slide, and use of the resorts pools as well if you desire to pay the small entry fee.

All it takes is just 4 easy steps!

Over at the 3D Theatre Happy Feet now has some more theming added like ice burgs out front and a mural on the wall as you enter.

Judging by the frequent show times and the decent sized crowds coming out, the new movie seems to be popular with park guests.

The rest of the park hasn't been left out of the upgrades either with some recently renovated bathroom facilities.

The new look bathrooms are lot more modern and clean looking.

They even have those new space age high tech hand dryers.

Looks like someone thought October is a much more suitable month for Human-Stingray interaction.

The Peddle Boasts are also open once again.

Just in case anyone was concerned, rest assured, Pirates Unleashed is still showing twice daily.

Finally we thought we'd leave you all today with one for all those temporary barrier fans out there.
