Big Dipper
Luna Park
Instead of regular upstop wheels, what are known as mushroom bolts keep the cars on track. A flat, freely spinning steel disc is slotted below two spaced rails on the track and bolted to the bottom of the cars.

The ride is significantly less impactful than the 1995 incarnation of Big Dipper, shown here in black and white. This version of the roller coaster was shuttered as a result of noise complaints and eventually found itself at Dreamworld.

Coney Island
Luna Park
The cars do not have upstop wheels. Instead, there is a pair of rails in the middle of the track with a greased "Mushroom" shaped peg that runs between the rails, preventing the car from lifting off. The thrill comes from the fact there is a bit of a gap, so the car is able to lean outwards on the turns and shift about, making the ride live up to its "wild" name.
