Dreamworld attendance up for September quarter

Off the back of a phenomenally successful 12 months ending July 2004, Dreamworld shows no signs of stopping.

Attendance for this quarter is up 14.3% on the same period in 2003, with 360,000 guests visiting the park.

Macquarie Leisure said this reflected on the successful strategy of developing attractions with specific appeal to a cross section of ages and demographic markets. This includes continued popularity of Big Brother and Nickelodeon Central as well as Dreamworld's latest thrill ride The Claw, which opened September 18.

CEO Mr Greg Shaw said the opening of The Claw would reinforce Dreamworld's leading position in the thrill ride market and provide a solid platform for further revenue growth.
