Warner Village spends big bucks

Spending over the next few years to top the $100 million mark for theme parks.

Sea World is spending $2 million upgrading their water park facilities. This attraction, which is included in the park's entry fee, will undergo massive changes that have already seen their existing tower close. It is expected that "Mammoth Plunge" attraction from Wet'n'Wild will be relocated to Sea World.

With half of Mammoth Falls gone from Wet'n'Wild, the park will see a $20 million upgrade over the next three years. Already underway is the construction of a new large children's area that will have all the necessities of a modern children's play area, including water cannons, giant buckets, climbing towers and slides. By September 2005 we will also see a replacement for Mamoth Plunge.

Warner Bros. Movie World is set to open a $12 million Superman themed roller coaster in 2005.

Topping off the investment is the 1000-seat arena for the Australian Outback Spectacular, and a new $50 million water park on the Sunshine Coast.
