Rains close Dreamworld
Severe weather conditions on the Gold Coast have caused Dreamworld to not open. Other Gold Coast attractions were also affected.
Image: Richard Wilson. For the first time in a number of years Dreamworld, one of Australia's leading tourist attractions, did not open as scheduled as a result of severe rain over the past 24 hours, estimated to be upwards of 400mm in Gold Coast areas.
Other Gold Coast theme parks also remained closed today, including Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild Water World. The parks are expecte to reopen Friday, 1 July.
