Cedar Downs
Midway Carousel is the oldest operating ride at Cedar Point, though it is housed in a newer building.
On the Backswing
Riders are only held in by a lap restraint.
Skyhawk is a "Screamin Swing". Essentially a supersized version of a typical playground swing. There are two swings, each seating 20, though they can run independently, as seen here.
The ride swings and spins to a height of 43m at a speed of 110km/h.

On Dcedar Downs guests sit on horses that bob up and down, and slide back and forth, giving the impression that each pack of four horses is racing.
Racing
The 80s space age station contrasts with the wooden structure of the ride.
Inside the loading station. Riders are free to pick the blue or red side.
The ride features a figure 8 layout. The wide turns at each end give each train a chance to get ahead/fall behind as they race.

After the corkscrew the train negotiates several tight turns and twists in quick succession.
The latter half of the ride features a midcourse brake run, drop, and the 4th and final inversion, a corkscrew.
The 3rd inversion is an incline loop...Essentially a vertical loop built on a tilt.
Following the dive loop is this elevated turnaround.
