For a few tense seconds riders are held at the top.
Riders sit in one of six gondolas arranged on tracks around the tower. A catch car latches onto the top each gondola and is winched to the top.
Drop Tower does what it says on the tin.
Riders straddle a saddle (Similar to a motorbike) with a front chest guard, and a pad on an arm flips up from the floor and holds them in by pressing on their back.

Carousel Columbia is a rare example of a double decker carousel.
Clutches at the pivot points on the gondola allow it to be locked in position to hold riders parallel with the arms. When the clutch is released the gondola can swing freely, and sometimes flip depending on ride programming.

FireFall holds a swinging gondola between two arms, flips riders, and occasionally dunks them into the line of fountains.
Berserker is one of the few remaining Schwarzkopf "Bayern Kurve". Essentially a train of "bobsleds" is powered by an electric rail and speeds around the circular track.
Orbit is a common Enterprise type ride.
