And this would be the other signature feature of GCIs rides, a very twisted layout with lots of crossovers.
One of the newer signature features of GCI coasters is a "station fly-through", where the train passes back through the station building at an elevated height, providing a 'headchopper' effect for riders, and a bit of visual interest for those waiting to board at the platform below.
On the return trip guests are treated to the sight (And heat!) of an exploding car engine.
This close to a wooden structure? I'm sure they know what they are doing.
...And down the other side, with a burst of air halfway for good measure.
After the speed hill it's up into a turnaround...
Following the first drop, the train flies over a speed hill, which delivers a quick burst of airtime.
The first drop twists around itself.
And they're off. The trains feature onboard audio, so guests are treated to the sounds of the machines pursuing them, and the human operatives shouting orders over the radio.
However, all is not lost. A 'transport system' is conveniently connected to the base, so the human operatives organise this for our evacuation.
Unfortunatley for us, the machines never abandoned the place properly, and are back! At this stage the Terminators awaken, and guests are treated to the sounds and sights of the facility being attacked from the outside.
The facility used to be held by the machines, though is currently held by humans. The operative discovers that us, the 'civilians' have taken refuge there.
The story opens with us meeting an operative who has stumbled across this base, which just so happens to be located in a certain abandoned amusement park.
The ride features a number of preshow rooms...An absoulute rarity on wooden coasters.
Hoses = Theming.
The queue is set in the middle of the action.
So there are lots of rusted cars and the like.
The ride is themed to a be base held by the humans in the post apocalyptic setting of the latest Terminator films.
