The loading station is interesting in itself. Riders are called from the stairs and walk the length of the platform. When leaving they head out down stairs between the tracks.

Guests straddle horses in a race around the track, held in only by a seatbelt across the lap with no upper body support. Risky? Yes. Fun? Definitley.
What makes it so unique is its single rail track system, the only of its type left in the world.
Many of the rides at Blackpool are quite unique, Steeplechase being no exception.
