The ride vehicle.
The interiors are pretty good too.
The exterior looks great.
Kyƶpelinvuoren hotelli is Linnanmaki's ghost train.
It's over in the blink of an eye.
Nervous riders.
Configuration of the final brakes. The system is magnetic.
A sharp vertical U turn is enough to cause the car to somersault, and you enter the steeply angled brake run head first sometimes!
It's then up the other side for the final trick.
The rest of the ride becomes a blur as you rapidly pick up speed, swooping down and under, narrowly passing over the roof of the station. Because the vehicle can flip freely, all the forces at the bottom of the drop can be felt in your chest or on your back, depending on luck.
The first drop looks small, but creates a real stomach lurch as you drop vertically, whilst simultaneously thrusting forward and then pulling backwards. It's such an unusual combination of forces.
When you reach the top there is a small dip, and straight section of track. At this point you question your life choices as the track ahead appears to disappear into nothingness.
The shape of the lift hill allows for unobstructed views.
Rising up.
Cars head up the lift hill. A double chain system is used for redundancy.
The layout is short, but packs in some unique sensations that no other type of roller coaster can replicate.
Inside the station.
The cars seat 8, with 4 guests seated either side of the track.
Guests are seated back to back in cars that can freely flip.
So what makes this ride so unique?
