A small retracting floor allows you to board.

Guests are sent onto the 'island' in the middle of the room, which is surrounded by several of the arms (Provided by Kuka robotics)

Prior to riding, guests use touch screens to select their intensity level, and then create a sequence of manoeuvres for the robotic arm to complete. These are then saved to an RFID card which is handed to the operator prior to boarding.

The queue is themed like a remote hangar/ workshop.

A model at the entrance hints at what this training facility involves.

The exterior of Ice Pilots School somewhat downplays the exciting attraction within.

Ice Pilots School is a "Robocoaster" attraction where guests are strapped to the end of a robotic arm and flung around in all directions.

Penguin Bay @ Legoland Billund.

There's also a "Build A Boat" play area next to the exhibit where guests can build a Legoicebreaker and release a torrent of water down a channel to see how the boat floats.

Normally Gentoo Penguins dart around in the water quite rapidly, but this one was happy to paddle over for a look.

It features a shaded amphitheatre for wildlife talks too.

Penguin Bay is a live penguin exhibit.

The final brakes pass some viewing windows into Penguin Bay.

Probably one of the most forceful family coasters out there overall.

With minimal height to work with, the remainder of the ride is sedate, with some small humps as you pass some models of Arctic wildlife.

The drop track is close to the end of the ride and finishes quite close to ground level.

The track passes through this rocky structure twice, with the 2nd pass containing the ride's main gimmick; a drop track. The entire train rolls onto a platform, which drops a few meters, giving everyone onboard quite a fright.

A sweeping first drop brings trains to a speed of 65 km/h, which they maintain quite well through a series of sweeping turns and helices.

The train is dispatched and the ride begins.

The load station. The ride uses Zierers "Elevated Seating" trains, so your legs can dangle a bit and the trains feel quite open.
