Previously, stand up coasters had a reputation for being uncomfortable. The surf coaster addresses this with a harness design that can move up and down during the ride, dampening any jolts.
The last new stand up coaster opened in 1999, and a few parks have converted their stand up coasters to floorless coasters.

Each raft has a name, from Discovery and Flying Colours, through to Sea SeƱora, A Little Nauti and of course Rafty McRaftFace.
A modern, temporary looking canopy sits over the station, suiting the 'base camp theme.
The queue is themed with expedition gear.
The ride is themed to an expedition of the S.E.A Collective, a group of rainforest explorers and scientists.
